Pune, June 1, 2026: Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd. supported the short film Still, I Rise as part of its CSR initiative to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis.
The film was screened at the National Film Archive of India in Pune on May 30, 2026, coinciding with World Multiple Sclerosis Day.
Directed by Rahul Panshikar, Still, I Rise follows the journey of Veer, played by Omkar Govardhan, and highlights the strength, courage and hope shown by people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
The screening was attended by the director, lead actors, crew members and the Fleetguard Filters team. Sanjay Kulkarni, President, Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd., also played a role in the film to support Rahul’s Grafix in spreading awareness about Multiple Sclerosis.
Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system and can impact movement, vision, balance and coordination. People living with MS often face physical, emotional and social challenges, making awareness, timely support and early diagnosis important.
The event was attended by Ajit Khair, whose life journey inspired the film, along with Dr. Shripad Pujari, Neurophysician, and Dr. Ranjeet Deshmukh, Neurosurgeon.
Niranjan Kirloskar, Managing Director, Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd., said, “This film is a reminder that courage is often found in moments of uncertainty, and that choosing hope and resilience can be a powerful act in itself. It also makes us reflect on how easily we take our health for granted and highlights the immense role that family and friends play through their emotional support during difficult journeys. Through this story, we hope to encourage greater empathy towards those who may be silently fighting battles we cannot see. I would like to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of Raahul Panshikar, Sanjay Kulkarni, Omkar Govardhan, Shruti Pawaskar and the entire team at Rahul’s Grafix for bringing this important message to life. Releasing the film on World MS Day was a conscious decision to help create awareness and encourage more conversations around Multiple Sclerosis.”
Fleetguard Filters said the initiative forms part of its CSR work across health and safety, education, promotion of art and culture, environment and rural development.
Established in 1987, Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd. operates in filtration solutions and is partnered with Atmus Filtration Technologies. The company works across filtration technology for on highway and off highway applications.
