Dr. Pawan Kumar, CEO of CARE Hospitals, said the network now serves over 1.5 million patients annually while continuing to invest in advanced medical technologies, research and specialised care.

CARE Hospitals has completed 29 years of operations, marking its journey from a 100 bed cardiac institute to one of India’s largest multi specialty healthcare networks.
Established in 1997 by a group of cardiologists, the hospital began with 20 specialists, one operating theatre and one catheterisation laboratory. Today, the network operates 15 healthcare facilities across seven cities in six states and provides treatment in more than 33 medical specialties.

According to the hospital network, more than 1.5 million patients receive care annually across its facilities. Over the years, CARE Hospitals has expanded beyond metropolitan cities, increasing access to specialised treatment through centres located in Tier 2 and emerging cities.
During its growth, the organisation has introduced several medical procedures in India, including the country’s first indigenous coronary stent, fetal heart surgery, swap kidney transplantation, womb transplantation, 3D laparoscopic surgery in Central India and endovenous surgery for varicose veins in the combined Andhra Pradesh region.

The hospital network continues to invest in robotic surgery, precision oncology, minimally invasive procedures, advanced operating theatres and digital healthcare technologies to support clinical services.
Dr. Pawan Kumar, CEO, CARE Hospitals, said, “Our 29 year journey is a celebration of trust, innovation, and the extraordinary dedication of our doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals. Every milestone reflects our commitment to improving lives through clinical excellence and compassionate care. As healthcare continues to evolve with artificial intelligence, robotics, genomics, and precision medicine, CARE Hospitals remains committed to leading this transformation while ensuring every patient benefits from the latest advancements in medicine.”

CARE Hospitals is part of Quality Care India Limited, which also operates Evercare Bangladesh and KIMSHEALTH Kerala. Across its network, the organisation manages more than 3,000 beds in Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, Raipur, Nagpur, Indore and Aurangabad.
As it enters its 30th year, CARE Hospitals said it will continue focusing on research, medical education, specialised healthcare services and patient care across its network.
