Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited has expanded its preventive healthcare outreach across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through an ongoing mega health camp initiative that has reached nearly 5,000 beneficiaries across 11 cities.
The initiative is part of the company’s awareness programme marking 20 years of serving customers and is aimed at encouraging regular health check ups, early diagnosis and timely medical guidance through community based health camps.

The camps are being conducted across Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Khammam, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Kakinada and Eluru. Community locations, including Star Health offices, schools, colleges and other public outreach venues, have been selected to improve access to preventive health services.
The programme comes at a time when lifestyle related and non communicable diseases continue to require greater emphasis on preventive care. According to data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, more than 42 crore people across India have undergone screening for hypertension, resulting in over 7.3 crore diagnoses. Diabetes screening has also covered more than 42 crore individuals, with nearly 5 crore diagnosed.

Mr. Srinivas KBB, Business Head, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited, said, “As Star Health commemorates 20 years of serving customers, our focus is to strengthen awareness around prevention and early action across the communities we serve. Through our ongoing mega health camp initiative in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, we are bringing essential screenings, consultations and health awareness closer to people across offices, educational institutions and community locations. The strong participation across cities reflects the growing need for accessible preventive healthcare support in regional markets. At Star Health, our commitment goes beyond insurance, and we remain focused on enabling early intervention and supporting healthier communities. Additionally, the general public can use the Star Health Customer App to book a free 24 by 7 Virtual Doctor Consultation, where early medical advice can make a meaningful difference, especially during the monsoon season.”

The health camps provide services including body mass index assessment, diabetes screening, hypertension screening, electrocardiogram testing, lipid profile testing, ophthalmology consultation and dental consultation. The initiative is being conducted in association with healthcare partners including Medicover, Max Vision, Clove Dental, Yashoda, Srikara, KIMS, Archana Hospitals, Ananda Institute and Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital and Research Institute.
Alongside the health camp initiative, Star Health continues to expand community healthcare access through its Arogya Seva Kendra Clinics under its corporate social responsibility programme. The clinics operate in Visakhapatnam and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, and in Khammam, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar in Telangana.
The company said the combined outreach through health camps and Arogya Seva Kendra Clinics is aimed at improving access to preventive healthcare, supporting early detection and providing primary healthcare services, including consultations, basic diagnostics, non communicable disease screening, medicines, counselling and vaccination support. The Star Health Customer App also enables members of the public to access free 24 by 7 virtual doctor consultations across multiple medical specialties.
