More than 250 oncologists, surgeons, radiation specialists and researchers from India and overseas gathered in Chennai for the VS International Precision Oncology Summit 2026 to discuss emerging developments in personalised cancer care.
The three day summit, organised by VS Hospitals and VS Medical Trust under the theme “Precision Meets Progress”, focused on advances in precision oncology, including molecular diagnostics, genomics, targeted therapies and multidisciplinary treatment approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Experts at the conference discussed how precision oncology is moving cancer care beyond conventional treatment models by enabling therapies tailored to the biological characteristics of individual patients.
The scientific programme covered topics including advanced molecular diagnostics, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, precision radiation techniques, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, organ preservation strategies, multidisciplinary tumour boards and evidence based treatment planning.
