The 1.5 year Master of Financial Technology programme begins on 3 August 2026, with applications open until 31 July 2026 and scholarships offering up to 50 percent tuition fee support.
India, June 8, 2026: University of Wollongong India has opened applications for its Master of Financial Technology programme, scheduled to begin on 3 August 2026.
The programme is designed for students seeking specialised knowledge at the intersection of finance, technology and data analytics.
Located in GIFT City, the programme gives students access to a financial services environment where finance and technology are actively shaping industry practices.
The course covers areas such as blockchain, digital payments, financial data analytics and regulatory technologies. It combines academic foundations with practical learning to prepare students for roles across banks, fintech companies, financial institutions and technology firms.
The Master of Financial Technology can be completed over 1.5 years of full time study, with students taking three subjects per trimester. A part time option is also available for students who want to balance study with professional or personal commitments.
Entry requirements include a recognised bachelor’s degree with an average mark of 50 percent or a recognised master’s degree in financial technology. Other tertiary qualifications and extensive professional experience will also be considered. Students with scores from competitive exams such as CAT or JEE may also be considered.
Applicants must meet English language requirements, including IELTS 6.5 overall with no component below 6.0, TOEFL overall score of 79 to 93, or a Medium of Instruction letter from their home institute.
The tuition fee is AUD 27,900, approximately Rs. 18,74,416. Scholarship options include the High Achiever Scholarship, offering 30 percent off tuition fees for the full course duration; the Merit Scholarship, offering 50 percent off tuition fees for the first year; the EarlyBird Scholarship, offering 20 percent off tuition fees for the first trimester; and the Women Leaders in FinTech, Data Analytics and AI Scholarship, offering 50 percent off tuition fees to top students in the 2026 to 2027 academic year.
Graduates can pursue roles such as business analyst, product manager, business development professional, finance manager, data analyst, blockchain developer, fintech applications developer, compliance expert, compliance analyst, cybersecurity analyst, cryptocurrency trader, financial and investment analyst, and strategy consultant.
