The system connects 253 API endpoints across trading modules and works with major AI assistants, Ben Zhou, Co founder and CEO of Bybit, said while describing the platform’s move toward conversational market interaction.
A shift toward conversational interfaces is beginning to reshape how traders interact with cryptocurrency markets, as platforms experiment with ways to simplify complex trading systems through natural language instructions.
Bybit announced the introduction of AI Trading Skill, a feature that allows users to execute crypto trades, retrieve market data, and manage digital assets by interacting with widely used AI assistants. The system works across platforms including ChatGPT, OpenClaw, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, and Windsurf, enabling traders to perform actions through simple text based instructions.
The feature operates through 253 integrated API endpoints that connect directly with the exchange’s trading infrastructure. These endpoints allow users to combine commands, follow up with additional queries, and manage trading activity without using conventional trading interfaces.
Six modules form the foundation of the system. Market Intelligence tools allow users to retrieve real time price data, candle charts, order book depth, and funding rates. Spot Trading features support market buy and sell orders, limit orders, and batch operations.
The system also includes Derivatives Trading capabilities such as leverage trading, conditional orders, and take profit or stop loss execution. Additional modules include Flexible Savings and On Chain Earn products, along with account management tools that allow users to view balances, manage deposits and withdrawals, and perform currency conversions.
Advanced functions provide access to margin lending, price differential trading, and request for quote pricing for options through WebSocket based data streams. These capabilities allow traders to perform complex operations by issuing conversational instructions that the system converts into API calls.
Ben Zhou, Co founder and CEO of Bybit, said, “By turning complex market operations into simple conversations, Bybit sets a new standard for what an intelligent trading experience can be.”
Security measures are integrated into the system to support safe interaction between AI assistants and the trading platform. New users are first guided through testnet trading, allowing them to experiment with AI driven commands in a simulated environment before interacting with real funds.
When switching to live trading, each transaction requires explicit user confirmation, ensuring traders retain full control over every order. The system manages connections between AI assistants and the platform through secure API authentication, removing the need for users to manually configure credentials during setup.
Every instruction issued through an AI assistant is translated into precise API requests and executed only after passing internal platform security checks. By combining conversational interaction with layered security controls, the feature introduces a new approach to interacting with digital asset markets.
