Dr Anil D’Cruz, Director Oncology and Senior Head and Neck Oncology Surgeon at Apollo Hospitals, said the new Dadar Super Speciality Centre is aimed at reducing repeated travel for Mumbai patients requiring complex and long term treatment.

Mumbai, 13th May 2026: For thousands of Mumbai patients managing complex and chronic medical conditions, advanced treatment often comes with a repeated travel burden. Apollo Hospitals is now attempting to reduce that distance with the launch of its new Super Speciality Centre in Dadar.
Nearly 8,000 patients from Mumbai travel to Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai every year for advanced medical care, with many making that journey multiple times during treatment cycles. For patients requiring oncology care, post transplant monitoring, neurological consultations or chronic disease management, repeated hospital visits can become a logistical and physical challenge alongside the treatment itself.

Apollo Hospitals said its new Dadar centre has been designed to bring advanced care access closer to patients in central Mumbai while maintaining continuity within its existing clinical ecosystem.
The facility will offer super speciality services across cardiology, neurology, oncology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, transplantation and pulmonology. The centre will also provide diagnostics, robotics enabled care and round the clock clinical access.
The launch was attended by Mr Arunesh Punetha, Regional CEO, Western Region, alongside senior Apollo specialists including Dr Anil D’Cruz, Director Oncology and Senior Head and Neck Oncology Surgeon, Dr Deepak Gautam, Senior Consultant Orthopaedic and Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeon, Dr Dipalee Borade, Consultant Radiation Oncology, Dr Jyoti Bajpai, Lead Consultant, Medical and Precision Oncology, and Dr Sumeet Pawar, Consultant Spine and Neurosurgeon.

Dr Anil D’Cruz said, “At Apollo, we believe advanced healthcare should not only be world-class, but also easier to access consistently. Over the years, thousands of patients from Mumbai have travelled to Navi Mumbai for specialised treatment, often multiple times during the course of care. The launch of our Dadar Centre reflects our commitment to reducing that burden and ensuring patients can access Apollo’s trusted specialists, advanced diagnostics, and integrated care pathways closer to home. This is not just an expansion of infrastructure, but an expansion of patient-centric care.”
Apollo said the centre is expected to reduce approximately 30 kilometres of travel per visit for many patients, helping improve consultation speed, treatment continuity and follow up adherence.
As Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai approaches its tenth anniversary this November, the Dadar expansion represents the next phase of the hospital network’s Mumbai strategy, focused on reducing access barriers for patients who require repeated specialist care.
