Birla Institute of Management Technology has announced a series of online Faculty Development Programmes focused on finance research, generative artificial intelligence, and technology led human resource management.
The Greater Noida based AACSB accredited business school said the programmes are designed for faculty members, researchers, doctoral scholars, industry professionals, and AI and analytics enthusiasts seeking to build future ready academic and research capabilities.
The FDP series comes as higher education and industry continue to adapt to digital transformation and AI led change. BIMTECH said the programmes aim to connect conceptual learning with practical application and research focused skill development.
The first programme, titled Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods in Finance, was conducted online from 1 to 3 May 2026. The 15 hour programme focused on publication oriented finance research and covered qualitative research design, coding strategies, thematic analysis, Event Study Methodology, text analysis of corporate disclosures, and advanced time series modelling using ARIMA and ARCH/GARCH models.
The finance FDP also included guidance on publishing in top tier finance journals and sessions on responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in research.
BIMTECH also conducted an FDP titled Rethinking HR in the Age of Technology from 4 to 8 May 2026. The 12 hour online programme focused on the impact of technology on HR practices, organisational capability development, HR research, technology enabled HR systems, and emerging workforce trends.
The institute will also organise a two day online FDP titled Data, Decision Intelligence, and Learning in the Generative AI Paradigm on 16 and 17 May 2026.
The upcoming programme will cover the role of generative AI in academia, analytics, and decision making. Participants will be introduced to Large Language Models, prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation, AI agents, predictive thinking, natural language processing, and AI powered data analytics and visualisation.
The Gen AI FDP will also include hands on sessions with tools such as Claude, Replit, Gamma, and other emerging AI platforms to help participants understand practical applications across teaching, research, and business environments.
