Through its CSR initiative, ZEISS India is supporting infrastructure for Kingdom of Childhood’s new Bannerghatta campus, where tailored learning, curative education, and nature based teaching will serve up to 520 students across mainstream and specialised programmes
ZEISS India is supporting the development of a new eco friendly campus for Kingdom of Childhood, a Steiner Waldorf school in Bannerghatta, Bengaluru, as part of a broader collaborative effort focused on inclusive and sustainable education.
Under its CSR commitment, ZEISS India is contributing to the construction of essential infrastructure elements including fittings, doors, and window fixtures. The support is intended to help create a safe, sustainable, and purpose built learning environment for children.
The school follows an educational approach that blends Gurukul inspired principles with evidence based practices. Its learning model focuses on tailored plans, experiential methods, and nature based education to support academic, emotional, social, and skill based development among both neurotypical and neurodiverse children.
With an 18 year presence in Waldorf education, Kingdom of Childhood currently operates from rented facilities and serves more than 130 children across kindergarten, school grades, and specialised curative education programmes. The development of a dedicated campus is expected to provide long term stability, support expansion, and help meet infrastructure requirements for formal recognition and affiliations.
Once completed, the new campus will be able to accommodate up to 400 students in mainstream Waldorf education and around 120 students in curative education programmes. The infrastructure will include customised classrooms, remedial learning spaces, and therapeutic activity areas designed for varied learning needs.
Located in the natural surroundings of Bannerghatta, the campus reflects the school’s philosophy of integrating the environment into the learning process. Through this initiative, ZEISS India is extending its support for inclusive and sustainable community development in partnership with organisations working in education.
