Hyderabad Becomes Acumatica’s New Engineering Base in India with 30 Plus Employees

The cloud ERP company has established its Global Capability Center in Nanakramguda, with mites Mehta, Chief Engineering Officer of Acumatica, identifying India’s engineering talent and technology ecosystem as central to the company’s expansion.

Hyderabad has become the newest engineering location in Acumatica’s international operations, with the cloud ERP company establishing a Global Capability Center in Nanakramguda as part of its plans to expand product and engineering capabilities.
The new center begins operations with more than 30 employees, with additional team members expected to join over the coming months.
For Acumatica, the Hyderabad GCC represents more than an additional office location. The company is positioning the facility as a center of engineering excellence that will contribute to product development and support customers across its global markets.

The India operation joins Acumatica’s existing presence in the United States, Canada, Serbia and Sri Lanka.
Engineering will form the initial focus of the Hyderabad team. Over time, however, the company sees scope to bring additional disciplines into the center as its operations develop.
The decision also places Acumatica within Hyderabad’s technology talent market as the company builds a more geographically distributed engineering organisation.
Miten Mehta, Chief Engineering Officer of Acumatica, said, “We have created the core of our growth engine in India with an initial seed, and we look forward to it becoming a mature tree and a major contributor to the success of Acumatica customers and Acumatica itself.”

Mehta pointed to India’s engineering workforce and technology environment as important factors behind the decision to establish the operation in Hyderabad.
“India’s deep engineering talent pool, thriving technology ecosystem, and growing reputation as a destination for global innovation centers makes Hyderabad the ideal home for this next chapter of how we deliver value to small and mid sized businesses,” he added.
The Hyderabad office has been designed as a collaborative working environment where India based employees will contribute to products and capabilities intended for Acumatica customers globally.

The company develops cloud based enterprise resource planning solutions primarily for small and mid sized businesses. Its platform provides business management capabilities intended to help companies manage operations within a connected cloud environment.
The establishment of an engineering focused GCC gives Acumatica an additional talent base from which to support development as the company expands internationally.
The Hyderabad center has been established in partnership with Summit Consulting Services, an ANSR company. The collaboration covers areas including capability design, talent strategy and operational scaling for the new operation.

Acumatica is also actively recruiting engineering professionals for the Hyderabad center, indicating that the current team of more than 30 employees represents the starting point rather than the intended final scale of the operation.
While engineering is the immediate priority, the possibility of adding other functions could broaden the role of the Hyderabad GCC within Acumatica’s international structure over time.
The development reflects a long term approach to building a globally distributed workforce rather than concentrating product development within a limited number of locations

For Hyderabad, the opening adds another international technology company to the city’s GCC landscape. For Acumatica, it establishes an India based engineering operation that can grow alongside its product requirements and international customer base.
With recruitment continuing and additional disciplines potentially following engineering, the next phase will determine how large a role the Hyderabad center eventually assumes within Acumatica’s global operations.
