Adilabad, Telangana, February 18, 2026: Indus Towers has completed the installation of sanitary pad vending machines across 75 government schools in Telangana under its Nari Samman Program, implemented in partnership with Pinkishe Foundation. The rollout covers 40 schools in Adilabad and 35 schools in Asifabad, with supporting infrastructure including pad banks and dustbins to ensure safe and hygienic menstrual spaces for adolescent girls.
The completion ceremony was attended by Rajarshi Shah, IAS, District Collector, Adilabad, who said, “The completion of these installations marks a meaningful step forward for the dignity and well-being of our girls. Menstrual health is essential to ensuring uninterrupted education, and I commend the collaborative effort that has made this possible. By strengthening access, awareness, and school-based support, Indus Towers’ Nari Samman Program is helping Adilabad build a more confident, informed, and inclusive generation of young women.”
Implemented under Indus Towers’ flagship CSR initiative Pragati, the programme focuses on awareness, access and institutional support to help girls manage menstruation without barriers to education. The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s focus on menstrual health and the District Collector’s Arogya Pathshala initiative.

To ensure continuity during school holidays, 20,232 pad packets were distributed in Adilabad and 9,582 in Asifabad. A total of 1,77,500 sanitary pads were supplied in Adilabad and 85,430 in Asifabad through vending machines and pad banks, taking the combined supply to over 2.62 lakh pads across both districts. Nineteen Pink Rooms were also established in Adilabad to provide girls with private spaces during menstruation.

Completing this phase of the Nari Samman Program reflects our belief that progress begins when every girl receives the support she needs.”
Arun Gupta, Managing Trustee and President, Pinkishe Foundation, added, “Through this partnership, thousands of girls now have reliable access to hygienic products and the knowledge to manage their menstrual health with confidence. The involvement of teachers, School Sakhis, and communities ensures that this effort remains sustainable.”
