Healthfab will invest Rs 15 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, expanding its period care production capacity while creating more than 700 employment opportunities.

The period care brand has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Government to establish a two acre manufacturing unit in Kuppam, creating more than 700 jobs and expanding its production capacity.

FemCare brand Healthfab has announced plans to establish its second manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the state government to acquire two acres of land in Kuppam, Chittoor district.
The company will invest Rs 15 crore in the proposed manufacturing unit, which is expected to generate more than 700 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The investment will support the development of factory infrastructure, advanced manufacturing equipment, quality assurance systems, technology adoption and workforce development.

The new facility will become Healthfab’s second manufacturing unit, complementing its existing factory in Bengaluru. The expansion is intended to strengthen the company’s manufacturing capabilities while supporting its long term growth strategy in the period care segment.
The proposed plant will operate as a vertically integrated manufacturing facility, bringing together production, quality testing, warehousing, research and development, and administrative operations under one location. This integrated model is expected to improve production efficiency, quality control and supply chain management.

Once operational, the facility will have a monthly manufacturing capacity of more than four lakh period care panties. In addition to reusable period panties, the company plans to manufacture disposable period panties and other feminine hygiene products that are currently under development.
The expansion follows Healthfab’s recent Series A funding round, during which the company raised Rs 20 crore led by Atomic Capital. The company said it is on track to achieve an annual recurring revenue of Rs 100 crore within the next three to four months.

Commenting on the expansion, Kiriti Acharjee, Co Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Healthfab, said, “This will be our second manufacturing facility with the first one being at Bangalore. As we build this unit, we will focus on sustainability being an important pillar in the overall design and development. The facility is being planned with energy efficient machinery, responsible waste management and recycling practices, water conservation measures, reduced manufacturing waste through optimized production, and environmentally responsible sourcing and packaging.”
He added that the company aims to strengthen quality control, innovation, production capacity and supply chain efficiency while supporting its long term business objectives.

Sustainability has been incorporated into the planning of the new manufacturing unit, with the company proposing measures such as energy efficient production systems, responsible waste management practices, water conservation initiatives and environmentally conscious sourcing and packaging.
Healthfab was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Bengaluru. The company initially focused on reusable period panties designed to address leakage concerns and has since expanded its portfolio to include broader menstrual wellness solutions.
According to the company, more than five lakh women have adopted its reusable period panties. Healthfab also states that it became the first company in India to receive Bureau of Indian Standards certification for reusable period underwear with 50 wash durability and antibacterial performance.

The company now offers products that address multiple aspects of menstrual health, including protection, sleep, energy and pain management. Through expanded manufacturing capacity and continued investment in research and development, Healthfab aims to serve a larger consumer base while strengthening its position in India’s feminine hygiene market.
Backed by investors including Atomic Capital, Mistry Ventures and BeyondSeed Singapore, the company plans to use its expanded manufacturing infrastructure to support future product launches and meet growing demand across the period care category.
