Ravi Kunwar, VP and CEO, HMD India and APAC, says the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G combines the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 120Hz FHD+ display and Indus by Sarvam AI, with sales beginning on Flipkart on October 8, 2026.
HMD is expanding its Vibe2 smartphone series in India with the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G, introducing upgrades across processing, cameras, display and battery, alongside AI features designed for Indian language users.
The smartphone will go on sale on Flipkart from October 8, 2026, during the Big Billion Days sale. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant carries a special launch price of ₹14,999, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version is priced at ₹16,999.
At the centre of the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. The octa core 5G processor combines two Cortex A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz with six Cortex A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz.
Both storage variants support expansion of up to 512GB through a microSD card.
Ravi Kunwar, VP and CEO, HMD India and APAC, said, “India has shown us what it expects from our Vibe series, dependable technology, meaningful upgrades and experiences designed around everyday life. With the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G, we are taking that experience further with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G platform, a 64MP Sony IMX 682 camera, FHD+ 120Hz display and a 6000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Our ‘Indian at heart’ approach also goes beyond hardware. With Indus by Sarvam AI, designed to support 22 Indian languages and built with India’s cultural context in mind, we are bringing more relevant and accessible AI experiences to consumers. Building on the strong response to HMD Vibe2, the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G represents our commitment to creating technology that is capable, relevant and dependable for Indian consumers. We are excited to bring it to consumers across the country on Flipkart during the Big Billion Days, making this new Vibe experience accessible at one of India’s biggest shopping moments.”
For photography, the smartphone has a 64MP Sony IMX 682 rear camera paired with a 2MP Micro sensor. A 13MP front camera is provided for selfies and video calls.
The HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G features a 6.78 inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and typical brightness of 800 nits. The higher refresh rate is intended to provide smoother navigation and scrolling across everyday applications.
Power comes from a 6000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. HMD is including a compatible charger in the box.
The smartphone ships with Android 16 and includes a side mounted fingerprint sensor, proximity and light sensors, dual speakers, dual microphones, USB Type C connectivity and a 3.5mm audio jack.
HMD is offering the device in Silver Mist, Aqua Green and Cosmic Purple finishes. Each colour has a rainbow effect around the camera decoration.
The existing HMD Vibe2 5G portfolio is also receiving a Wine Red colour option, which will go on sale on Flipkart from October 8 alongside the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G.
The new smartphone also features Indus by Sarvam AI, an AI assistant designed to support 22 Indian languages with a focus on Indian cultural context. According to HMD, the servers and data for the service are hosted in India.
Sanchar Saathi, the Government of India’s citizen platform, is integrated with the smartphone as an optional installation. It provides access to functions including checking mobile connections registered in a user’s name, blocking and tracing lost or stolen devices, reporting suspected fraudulent communications and verifying handset genuineness.
For after sales support, HMD says its network covers more than 200 care centres, with pickup and drop support available across more than 18,000 pin codes in India.
With the Vibe2 Pro 5G, HMD is positioning a larger battery, high refresh rate display, 5G chipset and Indian language AI features as the principal upgrades to its Vibe2 smartphone portfolio.
