Gallardo and Tony mark the premium menswear brand’s move into design led luggage, with Manish Poddar of The House of Rare and Abhinav Pathak of Escape Plan outlining the category opportunity.

Bengaluru, 21 May 2026: Premium fashion and lifestyle brand Rare Rabbit has entered the travel gear segment through a partnership with Escape Plan, introducing Gallardo and Tony, two hard shell trolley collections designed for modern Indian travellers.
Rare Rabbit, part of The House of Rare, is extending its design identity beyond apparel into luggage at a time when travel accessories are increasingly viewed as part of a consumer’s broader lifestyle choices. The collaboration with Escape Plan brings the brand into a category where function, design and personal style are being positioned together.

Gallardo has been developed with a matte hard shell, subtle carbon weave finish and sculpted geometric panels. The collection uses gun metal accents across the logo plate, trolley system, pullers and wheel detailing. It is available in Dark Blue, Carbon Black and Dark Grey across Cabin, Medium and Large sizes
The Gallardo exterior includes a scratch resistant matte shell, reinforced corners, 360 degree spinner wheels, a telescopic trolley system and an integrated TSA lock. Inside, it features a black dual compartment layout with a zippered divider, fabric storage pockets, compression straps, a removable toiletry compartment and a gun metal hanger.

The partnership also introduces Tony, a diagonally textured matte luggage collection built for travellers who prefer a more understated luxury look. Tony comes with a scratch resistant hard shell, diagonal matte texture, gold finish hardware across pullers, trolley pipe, handle button and wheel accents, along with a subtle metal deco strip around the body.
Tony is available in Dark Blue, Dark Grey and Beige across Cabin, Medium and Large sizes. Its interiors include a dual compartment system with net and fabric storage pockets, compression straps, a removable toiletry module, translucent wet pouch and integrated hanger.

Manish Poddar, Founder and Creative Director, The House of Rare, said, “Rare has always had a distinct point of view on design, craftsmanship and what premium should truly feel like. Our consumer has evolved with us, and their sense of style extends far beyond the wardrobe, it travels with them. Through our partnership with Escape Plan, we are bringing the Rare design philosophy into a new category, with the same creative rigor, attention to detail and long-term vision that have shaped our brand. This is a natural extension of our lifestyle universe, where every touchpoint reflects the individuality and aspirations of our consumer.”
Abhinav Pathak, Co Founder and CEO, Escape Plan, said, “The travel space in India is growing very rapidly, but the high-end luggage market is still very function driven. We believe there is a huge opportunity to create a design-led, aspirational brand that blends performance and identity. Partnering with Rare Rabbit enables us to combine strong fashion equity with deep category expertise and omni-channel scale. Together, we are shaping a premium travel platform that is both commercially robust and culturally relevant for modern Indian consumers.”
The partnership indicates a wider shift among Indian premium brands, where categories such as luggage are moving beyond utility and becoming part of a design led lifestyle portfolio. With Gallardo and Tony, Rare Rabbit has taken its first step into travel gear while carrying forward its fashion identity into a segment linked to mobility, personal style and everyday functionality.
Founded in 2015 under the Radhamani Textiles umbrella, The House of Rare houses Rare Rabbit, Rareism, Rare Ones, Rare’Z by Rare Rabbit and RareFore. The company has more than 1,100 retail touchpoints across exclusive brand stores, large format retail and multi brand outlets.
