Dr Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Founder and Managing Director, Venture Catalysts++, said Demo Day 7 brings together founders building long term businesses across climate, defence, energy, deeptech infrastructure and industrial technology.
Venture Catalysts++ will present 12 curated startups at Demo Day 7, with the participating companies collectively seeking to raise around 46 million dollars, approximately Rs 380 crore, from global investors and family offices.
The virtual only Demo Day will be held on 29 May 2026. Nearly 20 million dollars has already been committed, indicating early investor interest in the selected companies.
The participating startups come from sectors including deeptech, artificial intelligence, aerospace, climate tech, sustainability, defence and consumer brands. The platform will also include companies working in supply chain and logistics with differentiated operating models.
Demo Day 7 comes at a time when venture interest is moving toward strategic and infrastructure linked sectors. The edition will feature opportunities in sustainability, including biodegradable plastics and plastic products, along with deeptech infrastructure, healthtech, aerospace and defence.
“We believe the next generation of venture-scale companies will emerge from sectors solving hard, strategic problems across Climate, Defence, Energy, Deep tech infrastructure and Industrial technology. Demo Day 7 reflects that thesis by bringing together founders building long-term, defensible businesses rather than chasing short-term market cycles,” said Dr Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Founder and Managing Director, Venture Catalysts++.
Venture Catalysts++ said earlier editions of Demo Day attracted more than 700 venture firms and family offices from 18 countries. Across previous editions, the platform has supported more than 130 startups that have collectively raised over 400 million dollars, backed by a network of more than 1500 investors.
The latest edition follows a more rigorous selection process, including multiple rounds of screening, institutional diligence, investor matchmaking and founder coaching led by an internal team.
With more than 300 startups in its portfolio, Venture Catalysts++ uses the Demo Day platform to connect high potential founders with long term institutional capital and provide investors early access to private market deal flow across emerging sectors.
