Hiren Gada, CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment, thanked Amit Haria for his 19 year contribution and said Ashish Gupta’s experience across finance, strategy and operations will support the company’s next phase of growth.

Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. has appointed Ashish Gupta as its Chief Financial Officer, marking a leadership transition in the company’s finance function.
Ashish Gupta succeeds Amit Haria, who is stepping down after 19 years with Shemaroo Entertainment to pursue his personal ambitions. During his tenure, Amit Haria played a key role in overseeing the company’s financial and business affairs. He was closely involved in strategic and financial planning and contributed to major milestones, including Shemaroo’s IPO listing in 2014. As part of the executive leadership team, he also helped strengthen the company’s financial processes and long term business planning.

In his new role, Ashish Gupta will lead the financial and business affairs of Shemaroo Entertainment. He brings more than 24 years of experience across finance leadership, business transformation, strategic planning and operational excellence across sectors including media and entertainment, healthcare, security services, travel, education and IT and ITES.
Before joining Shemaroo Entertainment, Ashish Gupta served as CFO at BARC India, where he worked on governance, automation initiatives and operational efficiency. He has also held senior leadership roles at International SOS, Quatrro and Kuoni Travels.

A qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Commerce graduate from Delhi University, Ashish Gupta has worked across India, Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong. His experience includes business partnering, financial strategy, process transformation, profitability enhancement, treasury management and building high performing teams.
