Amrit Choudhury, Founder and CEO of Parkobot, said the platform aims to unlock underutilised parking assets, with plans to onboard 30,000 spaces across five major cities and target ₹20 crore ARR by FY27.
Kolkata-based mobility technology startup Parkobot has launched an integrated smart parking platform that combines artificial intelligence, proprietary Internet of Things hardware, cloud software and a mobile application to address urban parking challenges.
The platform is designed to help property owners, institutions and commercial establishments convert underutilised parking spaces into digitally discoverable, bookable and revenue generating assets.
Unlike conventional parking solutions that rely only on software or hardware, Parkobot integrates IoT enabled parking devices, mobile applications, cloud based management systems, digital payments, reservation features and access control technologies into a single platform.
Parkobot currently manages around 1,600 parking spaces in Kolkata and is activating another 4,000 spaces in the city. Nationally, the company plans to onboard 30,000 parking spaces and has already established a presence in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and other cities, where phased expansion is planned.
The platform enables users to reserve privately owned parking spaces through the Parkobot app. These spaces are equipped with proprietary IoT enabled parking locks that provide access only to authorised users.
As part of its introductory offering, parking will be available at ₹10 per hour through a monthly subscription package priced at ₹2,999, which provides up to 300 hours of parking each month.
Parkobot also follows a Time of Day model that allows property owners to make unused parking spaces available on the platform during periods when they are vacant, generating passive income while improving parking availability.
The company has raised ₹2.09 crore from Inflection Point Ventures and high net worth investors and is targeting an Annual Recurring Revenue of ₹20 crore by FY27.
Over the next year, Parkobot plans to expand operations across Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
The platform is also being introduced at key locations across Kolkata, including Park Street, Poddar Court, La Martiniere, Passport Office and Diamond Plaza.
Amrit Choudhury, Founder and CEO of Parkobot, said, “India’s urban centres are witnessing a growing mismatch between rising vehicle ownership and the availability of organised parking. Millions of parking spaces remain underutilised even as vehicle owners struggle to find convenient parking.
“At the same time, offices, malls and commercial establishments possess valuable parking assets that often remain vacant for extended periods and generate little or no revenue. Parkobot bridges this gap by transforming underutilised spaces into smart, revenue generating assets through a technology driven platform integrating parking, digital payments, reservations and access management.
“Our launch in Kolkata marks the beginning of a larger vision to create a networked parking infrastructure that enables users to seamlessly discover, pre reserve and pay for parking spots, while allowing property owners to unlock value from their unused real estate assets.”
The platform also includes indoor navigation within the application, helping users locate reserved parking spaces more efficiently.
