Pan IIT Alumni India Brings Pariniti To India’s AI Policy Space

Pan IIT AI Niti, or Pariniti, will bring together IIT alumni, industry leaders, researchers and policymakers, as Prabhat Kumar, Chairman, Pan IIT Alumni India, said the initiative will support responsible AI growth, innovation and nation building.

Mumbai, 1 June 2026: Pan IIT Alumni India has soft launched Pan IIT AI Niti, or Pariniti, a new think tank created to support India’s artificial intelligence policy and ecosystem.
The initiative was introduced at a curated gathering at Bombay Gymkhana and is aimed at creating an independent voice for India’s AI sector. Pan IIT Alumni India represents more than 500,000 IIT alumni globally.

Pariniti will focus on the full AI value chain, including semiconductors, energy, cloud infrastructure, data centres, algorithms, governance and applications.
Prabhat Kumar, Chairman, Pan IIT Alumni India, said, “Pan IIT AI Niti (Pariniti) is a significant step towards building India’s thought leadership in Artificial Intelligence. Through this initiative, Pan IIT Alumni India aims to bring together IIT alumni, industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to contribute towards responsible AI growth, innovation, and nation building.”

The think tank will be chaired by the Chairman of Pan IIT. Subject matter experts from the IIT alumni community will serve as Core Members. The initiative will operate through five to six specialised verticals, each focused on a critical layer of the AI ecosystem.
Around 50 to 60 professionals, including CEOs, CXOs, unicorn founders, venture capital partners, senior civil servants and academics, will be inducted as Members after profile scrutiny.

Praxis Global Alliance has been appointed as the Think Tank Partner and Knowledge Partner for Pariniti. The firm will support research, data analysis, discussion structures, white papers, policy briefs and opinion pieces. All intellectual property generated through the think tank will remain with Pan IIT.
he think tank will hold monthly online meetings in smaller groups, facilitated by Pan IIT. Discussions will be recorded, synthesised and converted into policy inputs for the government, industry stakeholders and the public.
Kumar added, “Pan IIT has always been a bridge between talent, policy, and execution. Pariniti will take that legacy forward, by turning IIT alumni expertise into real-world policy influence and market reality checks for policymakers.”
The launch event was attended by senior IIT alumni, industry leaders and representatives from the startup and investment community.
