BIBA Expands Circular Fashion Push With Season 2 Exchange Program

Running from 20 May to 31 May across select stores in 150 cities, the program offers customers a Rs. 500 voucher per donated garment, with Siddharth Bindra, Managing Director, BIBA, calling it a way to give clothing a meaningful second life.

National, 22 May 2026: Circular fashion in Indian wear is gaining a wider retail push as BIBA has brought back its Exchange Program for a second season in collaboration with Goonj and Mahavir International.
The program will run from 20 May to 31 May across select BIBA stores in 150 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Indore and Guwahati. Customers can donate gently used garments at participating stores and receive a voucher of Rs. 500 for every garment donated. The voucher can be redeemed on purchases of Rs. 2,500 and above.

BIBA is using its store network to collect clothing at scale and move the Indian wear category toward a more circular model. The donated fabric will be repurposed into blankets and other everyday essentials for rural and disaster affected communities as well as underserved urban families across India through Goonj and Mahavir International.
The second season follows the debut edition of the program last year, which recorded a 25 percent increase in store footfall. This year, the initiative returns with a wider store presence and greater participation from both partner organisations across the country.

Mr. Siddharth Bindra, Managing Director, BIBA, said, “At BIBA, we believe that fashion must continue to evolve with purpose. The Garment Exchange Program is or effort to encourage customers to give their pre-loved garments a meaningful second life. With Goonj and Mahavir as our partners, we are confident that every garment will be put to good use, while giving our customers an opportunity to contribute to a larger cause. This initiative reflects our commitment to responsible fashion and to creating impact beyond the point of purchase.”
Founded by Mrs. Meena Bindra in 1988, BIBA has grown from a small Mumbai based venture into one of India’s leading Indian wear brands. The brand offers categories such as Salwar Kameez Dupatta, Mix and Match, Unstitched Fabrics, accessories and BIBA Girls for children aged 2 to 15 years.
BIBA currently has a presence across more than 330 stores in 26 states and is also available through leading retail chains including Shopper’s Stop, Lifestyle, Pantaloons and Central.
