Four Hotel Agreement Expands Hyatt’s North India Portfolio Through Saraca Hotels Partnership
Chicago, October 30, 2026: Hyatt Hotels Corporation has signed agreements with Saraca Hotels & Resorts for four hotels across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, marking an expansion of the hospitality company’s planned presence in North India.
The agreement covers two existing Saraca properties that are set to join the Unscripted by Hyatt brand and two proposed hotels near Jim Corbett National Park.
The collaboration will introduce Unscripted by Hyatt to India through Saraca Hotel Lucknow and Saraca Resort & Spa Corbett.
The two additional developments are planned under the Destination by Hyatt and Hyatt Place brands.

Together, the four properties account for approximately 266 existing and proposed rooms, suites, villas and residences, based on the accommodation figures announced by the companies.
Unscripted by Hyatt to Enter India
The agreement will bring Saraca Hotel Lucknow and Saraca Resort & Spa Corbett into Hyatt’s Unscripted by Hyatt collection.
Part of Hyatt’s Essentials Portfolio, the brand accommodates independent hotels that retain their individual character while gaining access to Hyatt’s distribution channels and World of Hyatt loyalty programme.
The two Saraca properties will continue to draw on the cultural and natural characteristics of their respective destinations.

Vikas Chawla, President, India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt, said the company sees opportunities to expand in destinations associated with local heritage and distinctive visitor experiences.
“India remains one of Hyatt’s most important growth markets globally, and we continue to see strong opportunities in destinations that offer distinctive experiences and a deep connection to culture and community,” Chawla said.
He also referred to Lucknow’s culinary traditions and the natural environment around Corbett as factors influencing the company’s interest in these markets.
Existing Properties in Lucknow and Corbett
Saraca Hotel Lucknow is situated on Mall Avenue in the Uttar Pradesh capital.

The property has 41 rooms and offers accommodation, dining and cultural experiences associated with Lucknow’s heritage.
Its hospitality offerings include an emphasis on the city’s architecture, food and local traditions.
Saraca Resort & Spa Corbett, meanwhile, occupies approximately nine acres near the Corbett Tiger Reserve in Uttarakhand.
The resort has 44 rooms and suites, along with dining facilities, wellness amenities and activities connected to the surrounding natural environment.
Both properties are planned to become part of the Unscripted by Hyatt brand under the agreement.

Two Additional Hotels Planned Near Jim Corbett
Alongside the existing Saraca properties, Hyatt and Saraca Hotels & Resorts have announced plans for two new hotels near Jim Corbett National Park.
The first is a resort under the Destination by Hyatt brand.
The proposed property is expected to occupy approximately 20 acres and offer close to 111 accommodation units, including villas, suites and residences.

Its planned facilities include restaurants, wellness amenities, recreational activities and spaces for events.
The resort is intended to serve leisure travellers, families and groups visiting the region.
The second proposed property, Hyatt Place Jim Corbett Mohaan, is expected to have 70 guestrooms.
Plans for the hotel include dining facilities, meeting areas, a fitness centre and recreational amenities.
It is intended to accommodate both leisure and business travellers seeking access to the Corbett region.
The companies have not specified opening dates or investment amounts for the two proposed developments.
Saraca Founder Discusses Partnership
Mohammad Abdullah, Founder, Saraca Hotels & Resorts, said the collaboration would allow the company to reach a wider audience while retaining the individual characteristics of its properties.
“Saraca began with a simple belief that hospitality should reflect the character, culture and spirit of the destinations it calls home,” Abdullah said.
He described the agreement with Hyatt as a new stage in Saraca’s development.
“Hyatt’s global reach and commitment to genuine care make them the ideal hospitality company to work with as we bring our properties to a wider audience while preserving the authenticity that has always defined Saraca,” he added.
The agreement connects Saraca’s existing hospitality operations with Hyatt’s international hotel distribution and loyalty network.
Hyatt Expands Its Regional Brand Presence
The four hotel agreement will extend Hyatt’s presence across different hospitality segments in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Unscripted by Hyatt will cover the two existing Saraca hotels, while Destination by Hyatt and Hyatt Place will represent the proposed developments near Jim Corbett National Park.
The properties are intended to serve different visitor requirements, ranging from independent hotel experiences to resort accommodation and convenient stays for business and leisure travellers.
As of June 30, 2026, Hyatt’s global portfolio included more than 1,500 hotels and all inclusive properties across 83 countries and six continents.
Saraca Hotels & Resorts operates properties in India and has identified an upcoming resort development in Sri Lanka.
Its portfolio includes Saraca Hotel Lucknow, Saraca Resort & Spa Corbett and Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel in Goa, along with the proposed Saraca Resort & Spa in Merissa, Sri Lanka.
The newly announced collaboration forms part of Hyatt’s plans to expand its hotel brands in Indian destinations with established cultural and tourism appeal.
The addition of the two existing properties and development of the proposed hotels remain subject to the relevant plans and agreements.
