14 Tax Technology Products Unite as SBC and V&V Group Form AI Joint Venture for Global Expansion
SBC and V&V Group are combining 14 tax and accounting technology assets and 51 AI agents in a joint venture serving up to 2,000 clients, with international expansion planned over 24 months.

CA Mithilesh Reddy, Founder & Managing Partner, SBC, and Vinay Thyagraj, Co-founder, V&V Group and GSTZen, outline plans to integrate 51 AI agents, serve a combined client base of up to 2,000 businesses and expand operations into four to five jurisdictions within 24 months.

Hyderabad headquartered SBC and Bengaluru based V&V Group have announced the consolidation of their technology assets and artificial intelligence capabilities into a joint venture platform designed to serve businesses and professional services firms in India and international markets.
The agreement brings together 14 technology products and intellectual assets covering transfer pricing, corporate taxation, Goods and Services Tax (GST), electronic invoicing, auditing, bookkeeping and regulatory compliance.
The two organisations collectively serve approximately 1,500 to 2,000 clients, including more than 350 multinational groups, and have nearly 500 professionals.
Their combined workforce includes approximately 40 to 50 chartered accountants and 40 to 50 engineers.

The initiative aims to establish an Indian owned technology business combining specialised tax knowledge, proprietary software and AI based automation.
SBC operates in international taxation, transfer pricing and tax technology, while V&V Group specialises in GST and audit technology.
The combined product portfolio includes SBC’s TP Doc Gen AI (TAIGA), TaxMate, FixTag, SBC Track and ROC Data.
V&V Group contributes GSTZen, WeAudit, DeskAudit, Papilio and the Tidy suite.
These products are intended to operate through a common AI integration layer that connects existing systems, simplifies workflows and reduces duplication in software development and data infrastructure.

CA Mithilesh Reddy, Founder & Managing Partner, SBC, said, “Indian firms never lacked talent. We lacked scale and ownership of our tools. This combination gave us both.”
He added that combining the organisations’ tax expertise, proprietary technologies and AI capabilities would support the development of an Indian owned technology enterprise capable of serving international markets.
The combined technology portfolio includes 51 AI agents, of which 44 are currently operational.
The proposed AI architecture is designed to process regulatory knowledge, tax legislation, rulings, comparable data and financial information to assist with document preparation, reporting, data processing and audit activities.

The platform is also intended to connect with client enterprise resource planning systems, India’s GST and electronic invoicing infrastructure, and relevant external data providers.
Both organisations have adopted a model in which qualified professionals remain responsible for interpreting information, reviewing outputs and making final decisions.
Under this approach, AI tools handle repetitive and data intensive activities, while tax and accounting specialists retain professional oversight.
Vinay Thyagraj, Co-founder, V&V Group and GSTZen, said, “Our GST, e-invoicing and audit engines already supported Indian businesses in managing their everyday compliance requirements.”

He explained that combining these capabilities with SBC’s international taxation and transfer pricing expertise would create opportunities to offer a wider range of technology products to businesses and professional services firms.
The organisations have outlined a four phase integration plan covering 24 months.
During the initial 90 days, the joint venture plans to establish common technology leadership, shared data infrastructure and an integrated product development roadmap.
The next phase will focus on offering products across the combined customer base and establishing a shared delivery centre.

Within 12 months, the venture intends to introduce UAE electronic invoicing solutions, WeAudit AI and TidyBooks AI.
The final phase targets operations in four to five jurisdictions within 24 months.
TidyBooks AI is planned as an integrated product connecting invoicing, accounting, financial statements, audit documentation and transfer pricing records.
The companies also intend to expand their technology offerings into international value added tax and electronic invoicing requirements.

Dubai has been identified as a regional centre for expansion into Gulf Cooperation Council markets.
The group’s existing services operations across India, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Europe are expected to provide initial customers and distribution channels for the technology platform.
The consolidation is intended to reduce operational duplication through a shared engineering team, common data infrastructure, unified AI gateway and integrated delivery operations.
A coordinated market strategy is also planned to support the introduction of products across the organisations’ existing and prospective customer base.
Beyond direct customers, SBC and V&V Group intend to offer subscription and white label access, allowing other accounting, tax and consulting firms to use the technology under their own brands.
This distribution model is aimed particularly at smaller and medium sized professional services firms that may not have the resources to develop specialised tax and compliance software independently.
The venture also plans to create opportunities for professionals working in artificial intelligence, accounting, taxation and regulatory technology.
Through the proposed integration, SBC and V&V Group aim to develop Indian built tax and compliance software for wider international adoption while retaining professional accountability in technology assisted decision making.
