The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry convened its annual Financial Market Conclave at the Four Seasons in Mumbai, bringing together financial regulators, banking executives, institutional asset managers and investment professionals.
The conclave focused on the theme, “Indian Financial Markets at an Inflection Point: Capital, Confidence & the Next Growth Cycle,” with sessions examining capital, policy, market development and investment strategies.
Ashwini Kumar Tewari, Managing Director, State Bank of India, delivered the inaugural address.
The programme also included a keynote fireside chat with Shirish Chandra Murmu, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India, moderated by financial journalist Tamal Bandyopadhyay.
Ashok Kumar Soni, Executive Director at PFRDA, led the valedictory session.
Representatives from HDFC Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, Bandhan Mutual Fund and Kotak Life also participated in sessions addressing developments across financial markets.
One of the afternoon discussions focused on “Alpha in an Age of Uncertainty: Wealth Creation Strategies for the New Market Cycle.”
The session was moderated by Rahul Banerjee, Founder and Managing Director of PGP Academy, leader of PGP Wealth, and Member of the Finance and Banking National Committee at BCC&I.
The discussion examined market volatility, portfolio construction and approaches to risk adjusted wealth generation for institutional investors and financial professionals.
