The third edition of LOYA Qissa at Taj West End, Bengaluru, will feature an exclusive collaboration with House of Drip, blending artisanal candle making with the culinary traditions of North India on 1 August 2026.

LOYA at Taj West End, Bengaluru, will present the third edition of LOYA Qissa on 1 August 2026, offering guests an immersive experience that brings together culinary heritage and artisanal craftsmanship.
Titled An Ode to Craft, this edition celebrates the people, places, traditions and creative practices that have shaped LOYA’s journey through the Himalayan foothills and North India. The event explores how craftsmanship and storytelling preserve cultural traditions while creating meaningful experiences for contemporary audiences.

At the centre of this edition is an exclusive collaboration with Bengaluru based candle atelier House of Drip. The partnership highlights the shared values of craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail, bringing together the worlds of culinary artistry and handcrafted design.
Guests will participate in an interactive candle making workshop led by the founders of House of Drip. Inspired by LOYA’s signature dishes, participants will create food inspired candles that reflect the textures, colours and visual appeal of the restaurant’s cuisine. The experience is designed to demonstrate how artistic inspiration can move beyond the dining table into handcrafted creations that celebrate design and imagination.

The workshop offers participants an opportunity to engage directly with the creative process while gaining an appreciation for the techniques involved in artisanal candle making. Each handcrafted piece will serve as a creative interpretation of LOYA’s culinary offerings, combining craftsmanship with storytelling.
Adding another dimension to the event, Chef Rajesh Wadhwa, Grand Chef at LOYA, will share the stories, traditions and regional influences behind the restaurant’s menu. Guests will learn about the culinary heritage of the Himalayan foothills and North India, gaining insight into the flavours, ingredients and cultural influences that inspire LOYA’s cuisine.

As the culinary narratives unfold alongside the candle making experience, the event will illustrate how food and craftsmanship can become complementary forms of creative expression. The combination of gastronomy and handcrafted design aims to offer guests a deeper understanding of the traditions that continue to influence both disciplines.
LOYA Qissa has been developed as a platform to celebrate the cultural stories that inspire the restaurant’s identity. Each edition pays tribute to the people, traditions and artistic practices that contribute to preserving heritage while encouraging meaningful engagement with craft and cuisine.

This third edition places particular emphasis on the role of artisans and makers in keeping traditional skills alive through contemporary interpretations. By collaborating with House of Drip, LOYA extends its storytelling beyond the dining experience, presenting creativity in a form that guests can both experience and create.
The event is designed for those who appreciate authentic craftsmanship, cultural narratives and thoughtfully curated experiences. It offers an opportunity to explore the relationship between food, design and storytelling in an intimate setting where creativity takes centre stage.
LOYA Qissa, An Ode to Craft, will take place at LOYA, Taj West End, Bengaluru, on 1 August 2026 from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
