Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Harsh Jain, Co chair and Governing Council Member at TEAM, said MTW 2026 will highlight real world AI adoption, enterprise growth and Mumbai’s role in India’s technology economy.
Mumbai’s position in India’s technology and AI economy is set to receive sharper attention with the announcement of Mumbai Tech Week 2026 by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis. Organised by the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra, the event will be held on 29 May and 30 May at the Jio World Convention Centre.
Powered by IDFC FIRST Bank and co powered by Meta, Mumbai Tech Week 2026 will be held under the theme India: AI in Action. The event will focus on real world applications of artificial intelligence across sectors, with participation from global AI and technology companies including Meta, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Cloud and Neysa. An ecosystem of 10000 developers and technology enthusiasts is expected to attend.
“As one of the most significant innovations of our time, AI is set to accelerate industries and economies. Maharashtra is committed to ensuring that the state remains at the forefront of this transformation by strengthening innovation, supporting entrepreneurship and enabling long term technology and infrastructure investment. Mumbai already serves as India’s financial and commercial capital, and we believe it can also become a leading centre for AI driven innovation and enterprise growth. As AI reshapes the global economy, platforms like Mumbai Tech Week are critical to demonstrating how technology can drive real impact and inclusive growth,” said Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
The event comes as enterprises, startups and global technology companies increase focus on AI infrastructure, applications and enterprise adoption. Mumbai’s position as India’s financial and commercial capital gives it access to enterprise decision makers, capital, startup talent and digital infrastructure within one ecosystem. This places the city and Maharashtra in a key position to support AI adoption, jobs and technology led economic growth.
“We’re grateful for our Hon’ble CM Devendra Fadnavis’s support and his belief in what Mumbai Tech Week represents. MTW 2026 is designed to move beyond conversations to demonstrating how AI is reshaping industries and creating real economic opportunity, which is why Mumbai is the perfect home for it. With the Government of Maharashtra as our partner, we have the platform to make this a defining moment for Mumbai and Maharashtra’s AI economy,” said Harsh Jain, Co chair, Governing Council Member, TEAM.
Mumbai Tech Week 2026 will include AI showcases, AI Excellence Awards 2026, an Early Stage Startup Showcase, an AI powered Job Fair, Masterclasses and Stories Unplugged sessions. The job fair will feature more than 25 companies hiring for over 250 job opportunities, with access to a talent pool of more than 30000 candidates. The event will also include 14 satellite events across Mumbai in the lead up to the main programme.
