Sammir Dattani, Executive Director of Sanathan Textiles, highlights a POSH Committee led initiative focused on confidence building and personal safety training for women employees across Mumbai, Silvassa and Punjab operations.
Mumbai, March 6, 2026: Sanathan Textiles marked International Women’s Day with a workplace initiative focused on strengthening personal safety awareness and confidence among its women employees through a self defence and martial arts training session.
The programme was proposed by the company’s POSH Committee and aimed at helping women employees develop practical self protection skills, physical strength and confidence. The training session was organised for employees at the company’s Mumbai headquarters and will also be extended to women employees at its manufacturing facilities in Silvassa and Punjab as part of Safety Week 2026.
The initiative moved beyond traditional celebrations associated with Women’s Day by focusing on practical learning that supports everyday safety and wellbeing. Through guided demonstrations and hands on training, participants were introduced to basic martial arts techniques and self defence strategies designed to help them respond confidently in challenging situations.
Sammir Dattani, Executive Director of Sanathan Textiles, said, “At Sanathan Textiles, we believe empowerment begins with confidence and the ability to feel safe and secure in every environment. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting and uplifting our women employees by equipping them with skills that strengthen both their confidence and independence. As an organization, we remain dedicated to fostering a culture where women feel respected, valued, and empowered to thrive.”
The training programme also highlighted the company’s broader commitment to workplace inclusion and employee wellbeing. By encouraging women to build resilience, awareness and confidence, the initiative aims to support a safer work environment across its offices and manufacturing facilities.
Through initiatives such as this, Sanathan Textiles continues to reinforce its focus on creating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture where safety, respect and empowerment remain central to employee engagement.
