Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited has completed the final close of its Kotak Yield & Growth Fund at ₹5,000 crore, with the entire amount raised from domestic investors across India.
The fund, known as KYGF, increased from a first close of ₹3,900 crore in February 2026 to ₹5,000 crore at final close.
Commitments came from institutional investors, family offices and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals across India, giving the fund an entirely domestic investor base.
Kotak Alts, the alternative asset management arm of the Kotak Mahindra Group, will now focus on deploying the capital across private credit, real assets and selected growth opportunities.

KYGF is a Category II Alternative Investment Fund that seeks to generate risk adjusted returns through a combination of stable yield generating assets and selected growth opportunities.
The sector agnostic fund plans to invest in cash flow generating businesses, real assets and mid to large sized enterprises with governance practices that meet its investment criteria.
Eshwar Karra, Deputy Managing Director, Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited, said, “The final close reflects the growing relevance of private credit and real assets in institutional portfolios and the confidence investors have placed in Kotak Alts’ capabilities. We will remain focused on identifying high-quality opportunities and building a portfolio of cash flow-generating assets through structured credit solutions.”

The final close also reflects the role of Indian capital in the country’s private markets, with the entire ₹5,000 crore coming from domestic investors.
Amit Jain, CEO Real Assets, Kotak Alts, said, “Raising ₹5,000 crore entirely from domestic investors is a strong endorsement of Kotak’s Private Credit and Real Assets franchise and of the opportunity India presents. The final close is an important milestone, but the real work begins now: deploying this capital responsibly and delivering strong risk-adjusted returns for our investors.”
With fundraising completed, the focus moves to capital deployment across the investment areas identified for the fund.
Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited was established in 2005 and operates across alternative asset management and investment advisory businesses.
According to the company, Kotak Alts has raised, managed or advised more than USD 22 billion across Private Credit, Real Estate, Real Asset, Private Equity and Investment Advisory, with dedicated specialist teams managing individual asset classes.
