Collagen Banking Takes Focus as Kosmoderma Introduces DENSITY RF in Mumbai and Bengaluru
Kosmoderma has introduced DENSITY RF at its Santacruz West clinic in Mumbai and Kosmoderma Luxe in Bengaluru. The technology uses sequential monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency to address skin firmness, laxity and texture through clinically assessed treatment plans.

Dr. Chytra V. Anand, Founder of Kosmoderma Clinics, and Dr. Narendra Kumar, Head of Global Medical Affairs at Jeisys Medical Inc., Korea, explain how sequential radiofrequency technology fits into personalised skin treatments and the Indian Glass Skin™ philosophy.

Kosmoderma has introduced DENSITY RF, a noninvasive radiofrequency treatment system developed by Jeisys Medical Inc., Korea, at its Santacruz West clinic in Mumbai and Kosmoderma Luxe on Lavelle Road in Bengaluru.
The introduction is part of the clinic network’s approach to skin longevity, collagen banking and its Indian Glass Skin™ philosophy, which focuses on skin texture, firmness, elasticity and natural radiance across different Indian skin tones.
DENSITY RF uses patented sequential monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency delivery within a single treatment pulse. The system is designed to deliver energy at different tissue depths to address concerns associated with skin laxity, contour and texture.

The treatment operates at 6.78 MHz, with a maximum output capacity of 400 W. Controlled thermal energy can cause existing collagen fibres to contract and initiate tissue remodelling responses that may develop over time.
The device includes five adjustable cryogen cooling levels, real time impedance feedback and temperature monitoring to help clinicians manage energy delivery and patient comfort.
Kosmoderma is positioning the treatment within the growing interest in collagen banking, a preventive approach that considers how skincare, lifestyle practices and appropriate clinical procedures may help maintain skin structure as people age.
Collagen contributes to the skin’s structural support, while elastin helps it stretch and return to its original shape. Changes in these proteins over time can influence skin firmness and elasticity.

Dr. Chytra V. Anand, Founder of Kosmoderma Clinics, said, “The biggest shift in aesthetic medicine is that we are moving from anti-ageing to age preservation. Collagen gives skin its strength; elastin gives it the ability to bounce back. True skin longevity requires us to think about both. The future of aesthetics is about ageing better and preserving skin health, rather than pursuing correction alone.”
The clinic’s Indian Glass Skin™ philosophy considers skin quality beyond surface appearance, with attention to the different pigmentation characteristics and ageing patterns seen among Indian patients.
Dr. Anand said, “Glass skin should never mean lighter skin. For Indian skin, true radiance is about quality, not colour. It is about skin that looks smooth, feels firm, has natural bounce and reflects light beautifully.”

She added, “A beautiful skin surface needs a strong foundation beneath it. DENSITY RF allows us to bring structural rejuvenation into that conversation.”
The treatment is intended for appropriately selected adults seeking nonsurgical improvement in early skin laxity, reduced firmness, fine lines and changes in texture. Enlarged pores are also among the concerns considered during clinical assessment.
According to the company, clinical studies involving Indian skin and DENSITY RF have reported changes in collagen and elastic fibre parameters, along with structural tightening after treatment. The significance of these findings depends on the available evidence, study conditions and individual patient characteristics.
Dr. Narendra Kumar, Head of Global Medical Affairs, Jeisys Medical Inc., Korea, said, “DENSITY’s patented sequential RF technology is designed to deliver monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency at different tissue depths within one treatment to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis. The future of energy-based aesthetics is about controlled thermal stimulation to influence skin structure over time. Continued clinical experience and real-world data, particularly in Indian skin, will help us better understand treatment outcomes and long-term benefits.”
A DENSITY RF session for the face or body may take approximately 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area and clinical protocol.
Some patients may experience an initial sensation of tautness or notice surface smoothness within days. Changes associated with collagen remodelling may continue over the following six to twelve weeks, although results differ between individuals.
Treatment suitability, expected outcomes and the number of sessions required are determined through medical consultation.
Founded by Dr. Chytra V. Anand, Kosmoderma operates 18 clinics across Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai, offering dermatologist supervised treatments for skin, hair, body and medical aesthetic concerns.
