Yashoda Hospitals Brings Gynecologists and Surgeons Together for Two Day CPD Programme in Hyderabad

Sessions covered minimally invasive surgery, hysteroscopy, V NOTES, fibroid management and artificial intelligence, alongside live surgical demonstrations and expert discussions

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, conducted a two day Continuing Professional Development programme on August 29 and 30, bringing gynecologists and surgeons together for discussions and clinical learning focused on benign gynecology.
Titled “Comprehensive Benign Gynecology: From Basics to Advanced,” the programme included evidence based updates, case discussions, expert sessions and live surgical demonstrations.
The event was held under the patronage of Dr. G. Surender Rao, Managing Director, Yashoda Hospitals, and Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, MD, Pulmonary & Critical Care, ABIM, Director, Yashoda Hospitals.

Scientific Advisors for the programme were Dr. Venkat Raman Kola, Clinical Director; Dr. Shantha Kumari, Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist & Laparoscopic Surgeon; and Dr. Jamuna Devi Gudidevuni, Honorary and Part Time Consultant Gynaecologist, Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City.
The organising committee included Dr. Radhika Reddy Y., Dr. Krishnaveni Nayini, Dr. Damalapati Sonia Rani and Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah from Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City.
The scientific programme addressed several areas of contemporary gynecological practice, including minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, V NOTES, myomectomy, microwave ablation, urogynecology and the management of surgical complications.

A key session was the Yashoda Oration delivered by Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, Laparoscopic and Robotic Cancer Surgeon and Medical Director, Galaxy Care Multispecialty Hospital.
The programme also featured a masterclass with live hysteroscopy surgeries, giving participating medical professionals an opportunity to examine surgical techniques alongside expert discussions.
Clinical sessions covered the management of fibroids and adenomyosis, minimally invasive hysterectomy, frozen pelvis and pelvic organ prolapse.

The programme also examined the evolving role of artificial intelligence in healthcare and endoscopy, placing emerging technology alongside discussions on established and newer approaches to gynecological treatment.
Through the two day programme, Yashoda Hospitals focused on continuing medical education and the exchange of clinical knowledge among specialists.
According to the hospital, such professional learning initiatives form part of its approach to advancing evidence based clinical practice and specialised patient care.
