More than 160 doctors attended an ART Conclave in Khammam that focused on recent developments in Assisted Reproductive Technology and clinical approaches to fertility care.
The Continuing Medical Education programme was organised by Oasis Fertility in association with IMA Khammam and FOGSI Khammam.
Gynaecologists, fertility specialists and other medical professionals from the region participated in scientific sessions, workshops and practical demonstrations covering different areas of reproductive medicine.
The programme was attended by Dr. Rehana Begum, President, IMA Khammam, Dr. Mukkapati Koteswara Rao, Secretary, IMA Khammam, and Dr. Kurapati Preethi, Treasurer, IMA Khammam.

Other attendees included Dr. Kusumaraju Ravikumar, Elected Member, TGMC, Dr. Surekha Ravulapalli, President, Khammam Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society, Dr. Lokam Geetha, Secretary, and Dr. B.S.V. Padmavathi, Treasurer.
One of the sessions examined male fertility assessment beyond conventional semen analysis.
Dr. Krishna Chaitanya, Scientific Head, Oasis Fertility, spoke on “Normal Is Not Enough: Rethinking Male Fertility Beyond Semen Analysis,” discussing a broader approach to evaluating male fertility.
Dr. Jalagam Kavya Rao, Regional Medical Head, Oasis Fertility, presented a session on In Vitro Maturation and its potential use as an Assisted Reproductive Technology option for select patients.

Another session, led by Dr. Sireesha Karupothula, Consultant Fertility Specialist, Oasis Fertility, Khammam, addressed timely intervention and coordination among healthcare professionals during a patient’s fertility journey.
“The field of reproductive medicine is evolving rapidly, making continuous medical education essential for healthcare professionals involved in fertility care,” Dr. Karupothula said.
“Through the ART Conclave, we sought to create a platform for clinicians to engage with emerging scientific developments, exchange practical insights, and discuss approaches that support more timely and informed patient care,” she added.
Participants also attended workshops and demonstrations covering IUI procedures, embryology and semen preparation techniques.

The sessions provided an opportunity for clinicians to discuss practical aspects of fertility treatment alongside developments in reproductive medicine.
Oasis Fertility was established in 2009 and operates more than 40 centres across India. Its fertility services include IVF, IUI, ICSI, CAPA IVM, PGT A and fertility preservation.
