Seven Day Nepal Support Camp Announced as LPU Reaches Out to Nepali Students

The university will invite voluntary monetary contributions from students, faculty, staff and other community members to assist affected people and families in Nepal

Lovely Professional University has announced a seven day collection camp to support people and families affected by the ongoing situation in Nepal, while also reaching out to Nepali students studying at the university.
The initiative will be organised by LPU NSS and will invite voluntary monetary contributions from students, faculty, staff and other members of the university community who wish to participate.
Funds collected through the drive will subsequently be directed towards people and families in Nepal who require assistance, according to the information provided by the university.

The announcement follows a gathering attended by Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and Founder Chancellor of LPU, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro Chancellor of LPU, and Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice President of LPU.
During the interaction, the university leadership met Nepali students, heard their concerns and assured them of continued institutional support during the difficult period affecting their families and communities.
The seven day camp is intended to provide the wider LPU community with an organised opportunity to contribute towards relief efforts.

Students, faculty members and staff will be able to participate through voluntary monetary contributions, with the collected amount intended to support affected people in Nepal.
Alongside financial assistance, the university said its response is focused on supporting Nepali students who may be concerned about the circumstances facing their families and communities.
With students from different countries studying at the institution, LPU said it considers student welfare an important responsibility during periods when their home communities are experiencing hardship.
Through the collection camp and direct interaction with Nepali students, the university is seeking to combine financial assistance with support for members of its campus community affected by the situation.
