Global Yoga Teacher Training Capacity Expands with PURANTHA Campus by Akshar Yoga Kendraa in Bengaluru

Mr. Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, said the 165000 square foot campus near Kempegowda International Airport has been designed to train 100000 yoga teachers annually through structured programs recognised by the Ministry of AYUSH.

Bengaluru, March 8, 2026: Institutional training in traditional yogic sciences is expanding as organisations develop dedicated campuses for long term study, teacher education and research in yoga.
Akshar Yoga Kendraa has established PURANTHA, a centre dedicated to advanced yogic education and study of Himalayan yogic traditions. The campus has been developed near Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru and covers approximately 165000 square feet.

The facility has been designed to support structured training programs for yoga practitioners and teachers. According to the organisation, the campus has the capacity to train around 100000 yoga teachers annually.
PURANTHA has been created as a residential learning environment that combines different aspects of yogic study within one campus. Facilities have been developed for meditation, pranayama practice, Ayurveda based learning, research activities and residential programs for long term study.

All educational programs at the centre will be conducted under the guidance of Mr. Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, an institution recognised by the Ministry of AYUSH under the Yoga Institution category.
Mr. Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar said the centre has been envisioned as a place where Himalayan yogic traditions can be studied and practiced through a structured institutional framework.
Mr. Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar said PURANTHA is intended to support practitioners and teachers from across the world who want to explore yoga as a systematic discipline connected to inner development.

Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, Union Minister of State Independent Charge for the Ministry of AYUSH and Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, congratulated Akshar Yoga Kendraa on the launch of the centre.
Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav said the initiative contributes to strengthening India’s global presence in yoga and holistic wellness while supporting the continued study and transmission of traditional yogic knowledge.

The organisation said the campus will also function as a platform for residential training programs, institutional collaborations and international participation focused on the study of yogic sciences.
Akshar Yoga Kendraa said the centre aims to contribute to the preservation and structured teaching of Himalayan yogic traditions through education programs and research initiatives.
