Arvind Bhandari, CEO and Managing Director of Goodyear India Ltd., and Badari Narayana, Executive Director of Deloitte India, addressed students during BIMTECH’s 39th Deeksharambh ceremony.
Birla Institute of Management Technology welcomed its 2026 to 2028 batch at the 39th Deeksharambh ceremony held at its Greater Noida campus.
The new students have joined four two year full time programmes: PGDM, PGDM International Business, PGDM Insurance Business Management and PGDM Retail Management. The batch has a gender composition of 60 percent men and 40 percent women, reflecting a wider mix of students entering management education.
The ceremony was attended by Arvind Bhandari, CEO and Managing Director, Goodyear India Ltd., as Chief Guest, and Badari Narayana, Executive Director, Deloitte India, as Guest of Honour.
Addressing the students, Arvind Bhandari said, “Your time in education is not just a preparation for a job; it is an opportunity to understand your strengths, shape your character, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning. In a world where information is readily available and technology is rapidly transforming industries, the qualities that will truly set you apart are curiosity, authenticity, originality, and self-assurance.”
Badari Narayana spoke about changes in the workplace and the need for students to build adaptability. He said, “An MBA is not just a qualification, it is an opportunity to build capabilities, cultivate adaptability, and develop the mindset needed to thrive amidst disruption.”
Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director, BIMTECH, encouraged students to use the next 22 months for learning and personal growth. She said, “Success in today’s dynamic business landscape demands far more than academic excellence; it requires curiosity, disciplined effort, continuous skill development, and the courage to take ownership of one’s future.”
The incoming batch includes students from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat and Assam. Students come from academic backgrounds including Commerce, Engineering, Science, Humanities and Management.
The orientation programme included faculty interactions, academic briefings and sessions on campus life, pedagogy and student support systems.
BIMTECH has also been recognised as a 2026 AACSB Global Impact Award winner for its AI Enabled Interview Mastery initiative under the Teaching and Learning Excellence category. The institute also offers international and industry linked learning through programmes and collaborations with Singapore Management University, Swiss Re, UNIQLO, Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab and Hexalog Technologies.
