Bajaj Finance Conducts Financial Literacy and Cyber Safety Programme in Rural Telangana

Through its Arthsutra Samvad initiative, the company organised awareness sessions in Mancherial district to promote financial discipline, responsible borrowing and protection against cyber fraud.

Mancherial, Telangana, 23 July 2026: Bajaj Finance Ltd. organised its financial literacy programme, Arthsutra Samvad, in the villages of Peddanapalli and Devapur in Kasipet Mandal, Mancherial district, as part of its nationwide initiative to promote financial inclusion in rural and underbanked communities.
Conducted under the Reserve Bank of India’s financial literacy initiative, the programme focused on financial discipline, responsible money management, digital financial safety and protection against financial fraud.

During the sessions, representatives from Bajaj Finance educated villagers, particularly women and young people, on the importance of savings, budgeting, responsible borrowing, timely loan repayment and safe digital financial practices. Participants were also advised to remain vigilant against cyber fraud, fake investment schemes, suspicious links, APK files, WhatsApp scams and digital arrest frauds. They were encouraged to report cybercrime through the national helpline by dialling 1930.
The programme at Peddanapalli was attended by Kalvala Sharath Kumar, Sarpanch of Peddanapalli, as the Chief Guest, and Anjaneyulu, Sub Inspector of Police, Kasipet Mandal, as the Guest of Honour. Ward members Vinay, Shravan and P. Vamshi, along with villagers, also participated in the awareness session.

Speaking on the occasion, Kalvala Sharath Kumar said initiatives such as Arthsutra Samvad help improve financial awareness among rural communities and encourage informed financial decision making.
Addressing the gathering, Anjaneyulu urged residents to remain alert against financial and cyber fraud. He advised citizens to deal only with trusted financial institutions, avoid sharing personal banking information with unknown individuals and report cyber fraud immediately through the national helpline.

A similar awareness programme was organised in Devapur village with the participation of R. Ramdas, Sarpanch of Devapur Panchayat, Ade Jangu, Sarpanch of Maddi Mada Panchayat, Kommula Babu, Tribal State Committee Chairperson, local public representatives, women, youth and villagers.
The session covered financial planning, savings, responsible borrowing, cyber safety and fraud prevention as part of Bajaj Finance’s broader effort to promote financial awareness across rural India.
