Arpan Dilipkumar Parekh, Unit Head, Kadapa, Dalmia Bharat Limited, said the programmes across Nawabpeta, Peddakomerla and Vontimitta focused on plantation, plastic free practices, cleanliness and environmental awareness.
Kadapa, June 5, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Limited observed World Environment Week 2026 in Kadapa through community initiatives focused on environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The programmes brought together more than 250 participants, including villagers, employees and local community members, to encourage shared responsibility towards the environment.
As part of the initiative, Dalmia Bharat organised awareness programmes across Nawabpeta and Peddakomerla villages. Around 160 villagers participated in a Nukkad Natak focused on protecting natural resources and adopting responsible environmental practices.
The company also held a plantation drive, distributing 50 saplings among participants. An additional 450 saplings are planned for distribution in the coming days to encourage backyard plantation and community greening.
Dalmia Bharat also conducted an environmental awareness and action programme at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Vontimitta, in association with the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, Kadapa.
As part of the temple initiative, eco friendly paper bags were distributed to local grocery shops to encourage plastic free practices. A mass cleanliness drive was also held across the temple premises to promote responsible waste management and community participation.
