New Delhi, May 24, 2026: A congregational prayer service was conducted peacefully at Baptist Church, Karol Bagh, at 10:00 AM in accordance with the directions issued by the Hon’ble High Court.
As per the directions, Dinesh Das and others had been instructed to conduct the congregational prayer service inside the church premises. However, they remained absent during the scheduled prayer meeting.
To ensure that the service was not disrupted and that the faith and sentiments of the congregation were respected, the Independent Registered Trust continued the prayer assembly. The Trust stated that the prayer meeting was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner, with cooperation from the congregation and administration.
Despite the absence of a pastor, the Independent Registered Trust, Baptist Church Karol Bagh, carried out the prayer service without interruption.
Speaking on the occasion, Clement Koti, who has served the church for the past 40 years, said that with the support and cooperation of the administration, prayer services will continue to be conducted peacefully and regularly in the future. He added that all church services will continue as before.
The Trust further stated that, in accordance with the orders of the Hon’ble Court, the church will continue to be opened and closed at designated times by the Trust authorities. It said this process is intended to ensure that future prayer meetings are held peacefully and without disruption, in line with the established practice.
