Anoushka Adya, Founder of K Formula, said the range is designed for Indian hair conditions, focusing on molecular repair and ingredient driven formulations
A shift toward ingredient driven and science based formulations is becoming more visible in the haircare segment, with K Formula introducing a peptide based product range in India.
Launched in October 2025, the brand focuses on what is being described as the growing “skinification” of haircare, where products are developed using approaches typically associated with skincare, including active ingredients and targeted formulations.
At the centre of the range is a peptide based system developed to address common factors affecting hair in India, including heat exposure, pollution and water conditions. The products are positioned around structural repair rather than surface level treatment.
Traditional conditioners typically work by coating the hair to create temporary smoothness. In contrast, peptide based formulations are designed to work at a deeper level within the hair structure, targeting damage caused by styling, environmental exposure and chemical treatments.
The brand has also seen traction through user led content on social media, where consumers documented their usage experience through short format videos. The campaign generated significant engagement, with a large number of shares and interactions.
Beyond digital traction, the products have also entered salon networks and online platforms, including ecommerce and quick commerce channels, indicating early distribution expansion.
Anoushka Adya, Founder, K Formula, said, “We wanted to build products that are suited to Indian hair conditions, including climate and water quality. The focus has been on creating formulations where results are visible and can be experienced directly by consumers.”
The brand has positioned itself within a segment that is moving toward ingredient awareness and functional formulations, reflecting broader changes in consumer expectations in the beauty and personal care market.
