Dr. B. V. R. Mohan Reddy urged graduates to pair curiosity, judgement and integrity with AI, while VNR VJIET reported more than 290 offers above ₹10 lakh.

VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology celebrated its Graduation Day in Hyderabad, awarding degrees to nearly 1,800 students as they completed their academic journey.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. B. V. R. Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman of Cyient Group and Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIT Hyderabad and NIT Warangal, along with Dr. B. H. V. S. Narayana Murthy, Vice Chancellor of the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune, and other dignitaries from Vignana Jyothi.

The institute reported a strong placement season for the graduating batch. More than 290 students secured annual salary packages exceeding ₹10 lakh, while the highest package reached ₹65 lakh. Recruiters included Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Atlassian, along with several other national and international organisations.
VNR VJIET attributed the placement outcomes to its academic programmes, industry aligned curriculum, experiential learning and emphasis on preparing students for changing industry requirements.

The institute also expanded its academic and research ecosystem through more than 300 memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening global education and industry collaboration. Partnerships with 10 international institutions supported the establishment of research and development centres and industry focused training programmes.
In addition, 70 industry academic collaborations were formalised and 140 academic and research laboratories were established on campus to provide practical learning opportunities.

Addressing the graduates, Dr. B. V. R. Mohan Reddy said, “For graduates, today closes one chapter and opens another. Five decades of my life, I have spent as an engineer and an institution builder, but even now at the age of 75, I am still a student. Today, from biotechnology extending human life to commercial space travel, AI is reshaping every industry imaginable. Technology does not replace human effort. It augments it. The future belongs to people with curiosity, judgement, empathy and integrity who pair them with AI. AI is not a threat. It is a tool. In the new world, the most valuable asset is not what you already know, but what you continue to learn.”
Dr. B. Chennakesava Rao, Principal of VNR VJIET, said, “Graduation is not the culmination of learning, but the beginning of a journey filled with opportunities, challenges, and continuous growth. At VNRVJIET, we have always focused on nurturing professionals who possess not only technical expertise but also the values, resilience, and adaptability required to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.”
S. Suresh Babu, President of Vignana Jyothi, encouraged graduates to build their careers around patience, vision, critical thinking and skills. He said these qualities would help engineers contribute to long term innovation and solve future challenges.
The ceremony also recognised academic excellence and student achievements across areas including waste management, green energy, 3D printing and design, autonomous vehicles and smart cities.
Established in 1995, VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology is an autonomous institution affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. The institute holds NAAC A++ accreditation and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across engineering and technology disciplines.
