Over 700 Indian Students Among 1,006 Medical Graduates at Gullas College Ceremony in Cebu

Students from India, Nepal, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and other countries received their degrees at the August 28 graduation ceremony held at Waterfront Hotel in the Philippines

Gullas College of Medicine marked the graduation of 1,006 medical students at a ceremony held at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City, with more than 700 Indian students forming the largest international contingent highlighted at the event.
The ceremony brought together graduating students, their families, academic representatives, medical professionals and invited dignitaries to mark the completion of the students’ medical education.
The graduating batch represented several countries. Along with more than 700 students from India, graduates from Nepal, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and other nationalities participated in the ceremony, reflecting the international composition of the batch.

Edwin Jubahib, Governor of Davao del Norte, attended the ceremony as a distinguished guest and congratulated the graduates on completing their medical education. He also extended his wishes to the students as they prepare for the next stage of their professional careers.
Addressing the graduating batch, Dr. David K. Pillai, Chairman of Kings International Medical Academy, encouraged the students to view medicine as a responsibility towards society in addition to being a profession.
He urged the graduates to maintain professional standards, continue learning throughout their careers and approach patient care with compassion.

The ceremony was also attended by Kathreena K. Pillai, Deputy Chief Executive Consultant of Gullas College of Medicine.
Dr. Karthik Raj Manoharan, Program Director, Liver Transplant Anesthesia and Critical Care at M.I.O.T. International Hospitals, Chennai, also attended and extended his wishes to the graduating students.
The presence of more than 700 Indian students among the 1,006 graduates marked a notable representation of Indian medical students at the ceremony.
The graduation also reflected the presence of Indian students pursuing medical education overseas, alongside students from several other countries.

For the graduates, the ceremony marked the completion of their academic programme and the beginning of the next phase of their professional journey in medicine.
The event concluded with the 1,006 graduates receiving recognition for completing their medical education in the presence of their families, faculty members and invited guests.
