At the IESA Annual Members Meet in Bengaluru, Navin Bishnoi, AVP and India Country Manager at Marvell Technology, took over as Chairperson, while President and CEO Ashok Chandak said the sector has entered a decisive execution phase across semiconductors and electronics manufacturing
IESA has announced its new Executive Council for FY2026 27, with Navin Bishnoi taking over as Chairperson at a time when India’s semiconductor and electronics sector is moving from policy momentum to execution.
The announcement was made at the IESA Annual Members Meet in Bengaluru, attended by more than 200 industry leaders and stakeholders. The new council brings together representatives from semiconductor design, manufacturing, equipment, and systems companies across the broader electronics ecosystem.
Navin Bishnoi, currently AVP and India Country Manager at Marvell Technology, brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across semiconductor design, electronic design automation, and infrastructure silicon. His career has included roles at IBM, Freescale, Cadence, and Texas Instruments, with experience spanning AI and ML, cloud, networking, and automotive segments.
Speaking on his appointment, Navin Bishnoi said, “It is a profound honour to assume the chairpersonship of IESA, one that brings with it not only a sense of pride, but a deep sense of purpose and responsibility. India stands at an inflection point, moving decisively from semiconductor ambition to large scale execution. As Chairperson of IESA, my priority is clear: enable time bound outcomes across the value chain, design, manufacturing, OSAT, and supply chain resilience. IESA will work closely with stakeholders to translate policy momentum into measurable industry outcomes, capacity, capability, and competitiveness.”
The Executive Council for 2026 27 includes Pradeep Kumar Vajram as Vice Chairperson, Sudhir Naik as Treasurer, Anand Kumar, Hitesh Garg, Dr. Hemang Shah, Sundeep Gupta, Raghu Panicker, Vivek Tyagi, and Akshay Aggarwal, along with Ashok Chandak and Ruchir Dixit.
Ashok Chandak, President and CEO, IESA, said, “India’s semiconductor and electronics journey has entered its most decisive execution phase. We are now witnessing tangible outcomes, OSAT and ATMP facilities moving into commercial production, ISM 2.0 announced, ECMS led projects gaining approvals, and rapid scaling of electronics manufacturing.”
He added that IESA would continue to focus on ecosystem integration, trusted supply chains, global partnerships, and innovation led growth under the new Chairperson and Executive Council, with an emphasis on measurable progress in investments, jobs, technology leadership, and competitiveness.
IESA also acknowledged the role of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Government of India in supporting the sector’s growth through policy interventions across semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, and innovation.
According to the association, India’s semiconductor consumption market is expected to reach 103 billion dollars by 2030, supporting 400 billion dollars in electronics manufacturing. With the shift toward ISM 2.0, the industry body said India is positioned to deepen its presence across design, fabrication, ATMP and OSAT, and supply chain ecosystems.

I have spent some great time there, too. You post returned me to this awesome road-trip that me and my girlfriend had back in 2011. Keep up the good work John, looking forward to your new posts.
Your road-trip was awesome, too. I have heard some stories on how you swim with dolphins. Sea was warm, sand was there – heaven on Earth.
Just a quick note on this road-trip diary – beaches that we visited where completely abandoned and wild.
There was no water so we could\’t make any shower. We have to wait for return home.
Beside that, we had really really good time here and I wish that one day you visit this magic place, too.
I couldn’t agree more with you John! Thanks for sharing this brilliant article!
You are welcome Lisa, really appreciate it.
Aww really aswome aritcle John
