Mumbai, 18 February 2026: Strengthening export awareness among Indian sellers remains a priority for Shiprocket as it advances its on ground initiative, ShiprocketX Yatra, in Mumbai. The programme is designed to educate MSMEs, D2C brands, and emerging exporters on cross border commerce, covering export compliance, logistics planning, market access, and operational preparedness for international trade.
Mumbai plays a strategic role in export enablement due to Maharashtra’s large MSME base. Government data indicates that the state has over 71 lakh registered MSMEs, with significant concentrations across industrial hubs including Mumbai. This makes the region a key contributor to India’s small business export landscape.
Through ShiprocketX Yatra, the company is engaging directly with businesses to address awareness gaps in international commerce. The initiative focuses on helping sellers understand regulatory requirements, shipping infrastructure, digital commerce tools, and the strategies required to expand beyond domestic markets. The objective is to simplify export entry barriers and support sustained global growth.
