MG Group has introduced Starz, its next-generation premium coach platform, at Prawaas 2026, marking a significant addition to India's passenger mobility sector. Combining advanced engineering, passenger comfort, safety and operational efficiency, the new platform also received an immediate order for 50 units, highlighting strong market acceptance.

MG Group, one of India’s leading bus and coach manufacturers, has unveiled Starz, its next-generation premium coach platform, at Prawaas 2026, reinforcing its focus on safer, smarter and more sustainable passenger mobility. The company also confirmed an immediate order for 50 units following the launch.
The three-day exhibition was inaugurated by Smt. Miraben Patel, Hon’ble Mayor of Gandhinagar, while Shri Kaushik Jain, Hon’ble MLA, Dariapur, Gujarat, attended as the Guest of Honour. The event brought together industry stakeholders, manufacturers and mobility experts to showcase innovations shaping the future of passenger transportation.
Developed after extensive interactions with fleet operators, OEM partners and customers, Starz has been designed to deliver higher standards of passenger comfort, safety, operational efficiency and lower lifecycle costs. The platform will cater to intercity transport, tourism, staff transportation, institutional mobility and State Transport Undertakings through multiple configurations powered by diesel as well as alternate-fuel options.
The company said Starz represents a major milestone in its long-term strategy to develop future-ready mobility solutions that address the changing expectations of India’s passenger transportation industry.

With more than three decades of experience in bus and coach manufacturing, MG Group serves OEMs, State Transport Undertakings, private fleet operators and institutional customers through integrated capabilities spanning design, engineering, composites and manufacturing.
Its manufacturing operations are anchored by two facilities operated through MG Automotives (Bus & Coach) Pvt. Ltd. in Belagavi, Karnataka, and Zaheerabad, Telangana.
The Belagavi facility serves as the company’s flagship centre for premium and super-premium coach manufacturing. Equipped with advanced fabrication, precision welding, integrated trimming lines and quality assurance systems, the facility focuses on producing premium coaches with enhanced passenger comfort and lower lifecycle costs.
The Zaheerabad facility supports high-volume manufacturing for school buses, staff transportation vehicles, economy coaches, institutional mobility solutions and OEM requirements. The company continues to invest in manufacturing efficiency, lightweight composites, workforce development and integrated production systems at the facility.
Starz has been developed with an emphasis on intelligent space utilisation, improved ride dynamics, contemporary styling, structural safety and enhanced passenger comfort. The platform has also been engineered to maximise fleet uptime while reducing operational costs for fleet operators.
Expected to be priced from approximately Rs. 39 lakh onwards, depending on configuration, Starz will be available for bookings from July 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled thereafter.
