Satish Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer at PhysicsWallah, and Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, SSC Nasscom, outline the FutureSkills Prime collaboration offering eligible learners recognised certifications, academic credits and incentives of up to ₹5,000.
Education company PhysicsWallah (PW) has entered into a partnership with Nasscom to provide technology learners with access to industry recognised training, certification and academic credit opportunities.
The collaboration will operate through FutureSkills Prime, a national digital skilling initiative jointly developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Nasscom.
Under the arrangement, technology courses offered through PhysicsWallah’s skilling divisions, PW Skills and Earners, will be aligned with National Occupational Standards (NOS) and listed on the FutureSkills Prime portal.
The initiative is intended to connect technology education with recognised occupational requirements and provide learners with additional ways to demonstrate their skills.
Certification and Academic Credit Opportunities
Courses that meet the applicable standards may qualify as credit eligible programmes under the relevant national qualifications and credit systems.
Eligible learners who complete these programmes will be able to pursue an assessment based certification process through FutureSkills Prime.
Those who meet the certification requirements can receive an official Nasscom certification in addition to their PhysicsWallah course completion certificate.
The arrangement creates a pathway for learners to obtain credentials linked to recognised industry standards.
However, certification and academic credit eligibility will depend on the specific programme, applicable requirements and successful completion of the relevant assessments.
Learner Incentives of Up to ₹5,000
The partnership also provides eligible students with an opportunity to receive government learner incentives.
The incentive amount can be up to ₹5,000 or 50% of the course fee, whichever is lower.
These benefits are subject to the applicable scheme conditions and assessment verification.
The incentive is therefore not an automatic payment to every student enrolling in a course.
The initiative is intended to make qualifying technology training more accessible while connecting course completion with recognised assessment standards.
PhysicsWallah Highlights Practical Technology Skills
Satish Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at PhysicsWallah (PW), said, “Today’s tech landscape is evolving rapidly, and students need more than just degrees. They need practical skills that translate directly into careers.”
He explained that the collaboration will provide learners with access to government supported, industry recognised skilling opportunities.
Sharma added, “Through this initiative, students gain both academic credit and job-ready confidence.”
The partnership is expected to support PhysicsWallah’s existing technology education activities by connecting selected courses with the FutureSkills Prime ecosystem.
Nasscom Focuses on Industry Requirements
Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, SSC Nasscom, highlighted the need to connect education with the skills required by employers.
She said, “India’s digital talent ambitions depend on building a strong, industry-aligned skilling ecosystem that connects education with opportunities.”
According to Dr. Gaur, the collaboration is intended to make digital skills more accessible while reducing the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
She added, “Through FutureSkills Prime, we remain committed to strengthening India’s talent competitiveness and advancing the vision of a Digital Talent Nation.”
Opportunities for Higher Education Institutions
Beyond individual learners, the partnership may also be relevant to colleges and universities seeking to include industry aligned technology training in their academic programmes.
Courses mapped to National Occupational Standards can provide a basis for integrating qualifying technical skills into academic offerings.
FutureSkills Prime also supports learning pathways connected with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF).
The collaboration aims to help higher education institutions incorporate relevant technology courses while providing students with access to recognised assessments and credentials.
The actual award and acceptance of academic credits will remain subject to applicable qualification requirements and institutional arrangements.
