Dr. Azad Moopen Family Raises Aster DM Quality Care Stake to 24.58% in ₹350 Crore Deal

Union (Mauritius) Holdings acquired 46.09 lakh equity shares from TPG backed Centella Mauritius Holdings at ₹760 per share

The family of Dr. Azad Moopen has increased its shareholding in Aster DM Quality Care Limited to approximately 24.58% following the acquisition of an additional 0.57% stake for about ₹350.34 crore.
Union (Mauritius) Holdings Ltd., owned and promoted by Dr. Azad Moopen and family, acquired 46.09 lakh equity shares of Aster DM Quality Care from TPG backed Centella Mauritius Holdings Limited.
The transaction was completed on September 2, 2026, at ₹760 per share. The acquired shares represent approximately 0.57% of Aster DM Quality Care’s paid up equity share capital.
Following the transaction, the Moopen family’s shareholding in Aster DM Quality Care has increased to approximately 24.58%.

The additional investment increases the promoter family’s ownership interest in the Dr. Moopen led healthcare company.
Aster DM Quality Care was formed through the merger of Aster DM Healthcare Limited and Quality Care India Limited.
The combined healthcare platform brings together Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, Evercare and KIMSHEALTH.
According to the information provided by the company, the merged entity has a network of 39 hospitals across 28 cities with more than 10,890 beds.
Its healthcare services span primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary care, with operations across South and Central India.

The group’s areas of care include oncology, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, gastro sciences, orthopaedics, nephrology, organ transplantation, mother and child care and critical care.
