Venu Nair, Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Omnichannel, Myntra, said the launch strengthens Desigual’s expansion in India by bringing the Barcelona-based fashion brand’s apparel collection to millions of fashion-forward consumers through the platform
Bengaluru, July 9, 2026: Myntra has expanded its partnership with Barcelona-based fashion brand Desigual with the launch of the brand’s apparel collection in India, further strengthening its portfolio of international fashion labels and offering Indian consumers access to Desigual’s signature styles.
The launch builds on Desigual’s entry into India through accessories, handbags and backpacks introduced on Myntra last year. With this expansion, customers can now shop the brand’s apparel range featuring dresses, denim, jackets and graphic knitwear.
Founded in Barcelona in 1984, Desigual has established a global identity through colourful designs, artistic prints, patchwork detailing and asymmetrical silhouettes. Positioned in the accessible luxury segment, the brand caters to consumers looking for distinctive international fashion that blends creativity with everyday wear.
The newly launched collection features 90 styles across the brand’s hero categories, including dresses, statement denim, expressive outerwear and knitwear, reflecting Desigual’s signature design philosophy.
The collaboration also reinforces India’s growing importance in the global fashion industry. Through Myntra’s platform, Desigual aims to strengthen brand awareness among digitally connected consumers while expanding its reach across the country. The brand also plans to introduce seasonal collections to further deepen its presence in the Indian market.
Venu Nair, Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Omnichannel, Myntra, said, “The encouraging response to Desigual’s accessories on our platform demonstrates the Indian consumer’s growing appetite for design-led international fashion. India has emerged as one of the world’s most dynamic fashion markets, and Myntra is uniquely positioned to enable iconic global brands like Desigual to tap into this massive opportunity and strategically scale their presence. The expansion into the brand’s apparel collection reinforces our commitment to scaling international brands in India, leveraging our deep market insights and extensive reach to build discovery, aspiration, and long-term growth across the country.”
According to Myntra, international brands continue to witness increasing demand beyond metropolitan markets, with Tier II cities contributing 45 per cent of overall demand. The trend reflects growing interest in premium international brands among consumers seeking differentiated fashion choices.
Myntra currently offers more than 500 international brands across fashion, beauty and lifestyle categories, further strengthening its position as one of India’s leading destinations for global fashion.
