Where Sport Meets Stay: Omaxe and IHCL to Build India’s First Stadium Hotel in Delhi

India’s first hospitality project integrated with a 30,000-seater stadium to feature luxury rooms, club facilities, and event spaces.

In a landmark collaboration set to reshape India’s sports and hospitality landscape, Omaxe Group and Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) have announced a new Gateway hotel at The Omaxe State in Dwarka, Delhi. The 158-key property will be India’s first hotel located within an international sports stadium complex.
The Gateway hotel will be part of a sprawling 50-acre development that includes Delhi’s upcoming 30,000-seat international stadium. Designed to serve both event-based and year-round tourism, the hotel will feature stadium-facing suites, contemporary guest rooms, all-day dining, a fitness centre, and expansive banqueting and event spaces.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, said, “We are excited to partner with the Omaxe Group for the launch of a Gateway hotel in the capital. With its strategic location and integrated sports and entertainment offering, this project will redefine how guests experience hospitality in Delhi.”
The Gateway property will also form part of one of India’s largest private sports and recreational clubs, offering access to over 50 facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts, fitness studios, and coworking zones. This positions the project as a unique lifestyle and business destination for both residents and visitors.
