The pure vegetarian restaurant offers traditional South Indian dishes alongside North Indian and Indo Chinese favourites in Sarjapura.
Bengaluru, July 4, 2026: Bengaluru’s dining scene has welcomed a new addition with the inauguration of Nayvedyam, a pure vegetarian restaurant dedicated to authentic South Indian cuisine. The restaurant was inaugurated by storyteller, filmmaker and actor Sudhanshu Rai, marking the beginning of its culinary journey in the city.
Drawing inspiration from the Sanskrit word “Naivedyam”, which refers to a sacred food offering prepared with devotion, the restaurant is built around the idea of serving traditional recipes prepared with fresh ingredients and rooted in regional culinary traditions.
The menu features a wide selection of South Indian dishes, including Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa, Temple Ghee Thatte Idli, aromatic sambhar, freshly prepared chutneys and regional thalis that celebrate the diversity of southern India’s food culture. The restaurant aims to offer diners flavours that remain true to their origins while catering to contemporary tastes.
Speaking at the inauguration, founder Saurabh Mehra said, “Our vision is to make Nayvedyam Bengaluru’s preferred destination for authentic South Indian cuisine, where every guest enjoys food that is rooted in tradition and served with genuine hospitality. We are delighted to begin this journey with Sudhanshu Rai, whose passion for meaningful experiences perfectly aligns with our philosophy.”
Sudhanshu Rai, who inaugurated the restaurant, explored several dishes from the menu during the event. A long time admirer of South Indian cuisine, he appreciated the authenticity of the preparations, noting that the flavours, traditional cooking methods and ambience together created a memorable dining experience.
While South Indian cuisine remains the restaurant’s primary focus, Nayvedyam also offers a selection of North Indian and Indo Chinese dishes. The menu includes Indian curries, dals and breads, along with popular options such as Gobi Manchurian, Veg Hakka Noodles and Fried Rice, catering to families and groups with varied dining preferences.
Located on Gopalakrishna Adiga Road, Sarjapura Road, Chikkanayakanahalli, Bengaluru, Nayvedyam is open daily from 7.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. The restaurant offers dine in, takeaway, online ordering and catering services, aiming to serve customers across different dining occasions.
