Competing from 13 to 15 March in Italy, Ashish Limaye secured gold in the CCI 2 Long Format on Easy Turn and bronze in the CCI 2 Short Format on Willy Be Dun, while the Embassy International Riding School instructor and sponsor rider also earned an MER on D’Avril du Pinier.

Indian eventing rider Ashish Limaye added two podium finishes to his international season with gold and bronze at the FEI Eventing Competition Montelibretti 2026 in Italy, underlining another strong outing on the global circuit.
Competing at Montelibretti from 13 to 15 March, Limaye won the gold medal in the CCI 2 Long Format on Easy Turn with a score of 30.2. The category featured 15 entries from five nations, India, Japan, Korea, Spain, and Italy.

He followed that with a bronze medal in the CCI 2 Short Format on Willy Be Dun, finishing with a score of 32. That category included 66 riders from nine nations, including the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, and Ecuador.
Ashish Limaye said, “Riding at Montelibretti was amazing! To be able to go head to head with so many talented riders from around the world was fantastic. I’m really happy with Easy Turn’s and Willy Be Dun’s results. Wins like these don’t just happen overnight, it’s the training we put in day in and day out with our teams that create these opportunities for us. I am looking forward to my next competitions and taking on the next level.”

The competitions were part of the international FEI calendar at the two star level. While they were not Asian Games qualifying events, the results add useful experience ahead of Limaye’s planned step up to CCI 3 competition.
He also recorded an MER on D’Avril du Pinier, taking him to two out of the three MERs required to qualify for the FEI World Equestrian Games, one of the sport’s major global competitions.

Limaye, who is an instructor and sponsor rider at the Embassy International Riding School, continues to represent India in leading international competitions. His latest results add to a growing body of performances that keep Indian eventing visible on the international stage.
