Enterprise Workspace Design Demand Spurs Launch of Rivet Platform by WeWork India

Karan Virwani, Managing Director and CEO of WeWork India, said Arnav S Gusain has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Rivet while continuing as Chief Supply Officer to lead the company’s new enterprise workspace design and build platform.

Mumbai, March 9, 2026: Rising demand for customised enterprise workplaces is reshaping India’s commercial office market, prompting WeWork India to introduce Rivet, a design and build platform intended to provide integrated workspace delivery for enterprises and end users.
The new platform comes as corporate office strategies evolve alongside rapid expansion by Global Capability Centres and enterprise tenants across the country. According to JLL, India’s office market recorded gross leasing activity of 83.3 million square feet in 2025, reflecting increasing demand for modern workspaces that prioritise collaboration, productivity and long-term operational performance.

Rivet is designed to provide a unified approach to workspace design and construction, an area where enterprises often coordinate multiple vendors for design, engineering and project execution. The platform brings these elements under a single contract structure with consolidated accountability and end-to-end delivery from concept planning to commissioning.
The launch also marks the appointment of Mr Arnav S Gusain as Chief Executive Officer of Rivet. He will continue to serve as Chief Supply Officer at WeWork India while leading the development of the new business vertical.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr Karan Virwani, Managing Director and CEO of WeWork India, said the company’s experience operating commercial workspaces across markets has provided insights into how workplace environments influence business performance. He noted that the new platform integrates those insights with design, operational knowledge and project execution capabilities to deliver enterprise workplaces at scale.
WeWork India has expanded its operations significantly since entering the market in 2017 and currently manages more than 8.2 million square feet of workspace across eight Indian cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai.

Rivet aims to address operational challenges within the fragmented design and build ecosystem by using technology-enabled planning tools such as Building Information Modelling, real-time site monitoring and financial governance systems to provide transparency across project timelines, budgets and execution.
The platform incorporates sustainability considerations in material selection, workspace planning and construction practices. These include layouts designed to improve efficiency and durability while reducing waste during construction and long-term operations.

Mr Arnav S Gusain, Chief Executive Officer of Rivet and Chief Supply Officer at WeWork India, said enterprises today view workplace investments as a strategic decision, yet the delivery ecosystem has not evolved at the same pace. He added that Rivet is designed to integrate real estate insights with design and infrastructure planning, enabling enterprises to translate organisational culture and operational needs into functional workplace environments.
The platform will also support workspace infrastructure after project delivery through technology integration and operational partnerships, reflecting WeWork India’s broader effort to develop a workspace-as-a-service ecosystem for enterprises.
Rivet has already delivered projects exceeding one lakh square feet in total area, including workspaces at One World Centre and Embassy One, with a cumulative project value of nearly ₹50 crore.
With the introduction of Rivet, WeWork India expands its role beyond flexible workspace operations to include design, delivery and infrastructure services for enterprise offices. The move reflects a broader shift in the commercial real estate sector where companies increasingly seek integrated partners to manage workplace development and operations.
