“We are seeing a constant rise in the cardiovascular death rate in India rapidly. Hence, the need for an awareness drive was a must. It was great to see people come forward with various concerns and issues regarding heart health and get their necessary solutions and treatments. We aim to continue these initiatives in the future to address various health issues of the city.”Dr. Vispi Jokhi, CEO Masina Hospital, said,
CPR training is essential for everyone as a First Aid during a Heart Attack. Expert doctors at Masina Hospital provided 2 hours of training on how to save a life with basic CPR.
CPR training includes what hands-on CPR is all about, why it’s important and how to perform CPR extending informative resources to help one prepare for the worst.
At Mega Heart Health Fair, Dr. Zainulabedin Hamdulay, renowned Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon & Director, Chairman of Masina Heart Institute, emphasized the link between stress and heart disease.
There is evidence that stress raises the risk of severe heart problems, leads to high blood pressure, and lowers levels of “Good Cholesterol” HDL, harming heart health. It is recommended to get professional help and evaluate your stress levels.
This becomes especially important if you have associated risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity.
