World philosophy day was introduced in the year 2005 by UNESCO, an agency of the United Nations organization. It is a day to observe and honor the philosophical reflections across the globe. The day is observed on the third Thursday of every month to encourage people to observe the philosophical activities of life. UNESCO organizes this day on international and national platforms with events aspiring the citizens of the country to come up with the activities of their life. It encourages platforms on the international level for debates, global meetings, and connections to share their philosophical values of life. This is important for spreading awareness about the philosophy in different areas of life

What is Philosophy ?

It is a conceptual grounding of values and principles to shape the world’s democracy. Philosophy encourages independent and social thinking which is important for the betterment of the life of every individual.

Another way to celebrate World Philosophy Day :

Add a noble cause to it. Make a movement and be a part of it by donating to philosophical organizations. These foundations create a platform for the citizens and younger generation to understand humanity and democracy all around the world. By celebrating philosophy day, the values of the younger generation are taken care of. Philosophy indicates peace and humanity and the ways of promoting it. We should promote a philosophical subject in each and every scholl, college and university right from the beginning . This will ensure that all the members of the society are roped into cultural peace throughout the country.

It is important to spread the guidelines about philosophy to promote modernity and globalization on a larger scale. The main objective is to empower and embrace the teachings of philosophy for the future generations to come for the overall well being of the society and the country.
